- Which is better - an Ultrawide or Dual Monitor Desk Setup? Why not both! I found this super affordable budget dual stacked monitor stand/mount and decided to throw both of my 34" Ultrawides on it. Is it overkill? Maybe. Do I regret it? No.

Great video, looking fantastic. Setting up a dual setup with ,34" Samsungs myself after Christmas... i can't wait
@jsetups here bro, really enjoyed the thorough explanation on the Dual Ultrawide Monitor Desk Setup.
I love how this experimentation led to such a positive outcome - you being more productive and the overall look of the setup looks even more amazing now! Nice one :D
Yo thanks for watching J!
im actually running somewhat similar, i have two 27"s side by sided on a wall mount that pulls out and then have a 40" ultrawide wall mounted above them lets me have the benefit of two side by sides for dif tasks while having the top ultrawide for youtube, slack, spotify just general stuff. I made sure to buy a cheaper one for around 280$ since it was not going to be my main monitor
finally i found a perfect set up. My set up is a little different same stacked monitors but a 32 inch on an arm vertically which i use for chat or vrdeo reference.
I was considering a similar setup, but almost purchased two monitor arms with clamps. I was afraid of this setup being too top-heavy, but with two 24" monitors weighing 6lbs each (and limited access to the back of my desk for clamps) before considering the cost savings, this definitely seems like the way to go. Thanks!
Glad I could help! Enjoy!
Thanks for this video. I likened myself a day trader for a while but that didn't pan out so my designs on a dual monitor setup were nix'd but with the new job I have I could totally use a 2 widescreen monitor setup. I currently have one 34" LG widescreen monitor I've had for not-quite-a-full-year. Since my new work-from-home-job sorta necessitates so yeah, I would rock that setup or similar.
So dope bro. Thinking about a set up like this so this definitely helped
Thanks man! Glad I could help
Good choice for monitor settings imo. You got more place on your desk. Nice setup btw. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Your channel is going to blow up. Amazing content. Great quality as well. Subscribed
I really appreciate that! đđ»
Nice video! As much as I want a 65 inch tv to double as my monitor. I used to do that with my 50" plasma. I like the idea of having 2 monitors now. Space and portability. In the long run I'll get a tv but I have no need for a 65" right now. âmy current monitor is a 28" Asus Tuf 4k 2160 60hz monitor. It's a nice monitor and i can't tell the difference between 60hz and up refresh rate to begin with. I do want a curved monitor though regardless. Maybe 3? One flat and two curved? đ @ColeCaccamise
From ergonomic point of view, the eye should be aligned horizontaly with the top edge of the screen to be optimal. In your config your eye need to make more effort to look on your secondary screen and results more painful to use in you spend time on computer (headicks, neckpains, etc)
Thatâs why I prefer the triple screen config
just got the same setup cuz of this vid, super sick vid man and the production quality is amazing ur mad underrated keep it up
Glad I could give some inspiration bro! Appreciate you watching.
We have dual ultrawides at work but I have them much lower than the setup shown. I fullscreen my IDE on the bottom monitor and use the top one for outlook, teams, chrome etc
Building my setup now, waiting for everything else to come in. Ordered a VIVO electric desk and a second monitor for a similar stacked look.
Dude thatâll look dope!
absolut crazy monitor setup looks sick and as long as it fits your needs and workflow its worth đȘđŒ
I'm rocking a dual monitor setup with a 34 inch ultrawide and a 27 inch monitor mounted vertical next to it
this orientation is also really nice to use đđŒ
I really like that! What do you use the vertical monitor for mostly? Before I had my ultrawides I briefly ran a setup with two 24s, one of which was vertical and I did really like it.
@@ColeCaccamise nice :)
I use it most of the time for Spotify and discord ore a quick research and recently I was editing some vertical photos on it which is really nice đ
Hello guys, I'm rocking a setup exactly like @Jan Steinke but I want to try the 27 inch on top of my ultrawide, what's your take on a setup like that?
that works
@@lowe6600
New sub. Great video man! Iâm rocking with a 27in and 34 in ultra wide.
Appreciate that brother! Thatâs definitely a nice config youâve got!
Going to do the same setup. Two LG 34GP83A-B. Thanks!
Awesome vid bro. About to go for the same setup. Whereâd you get your wallpapers?
Thanks man! One is the stock MacOS one and the other I found on google - bit.ly/blueswirlwallpaper
I have a dual monitor setup right now and I've been seeing more and more people mounting them on top of each other as apposed to beside each other. Gonna have to order this mount and try it out!! Then maybe we'll move onto the Ultrawide monitors!!!!
I honestly love it! I actually updated the setup and got two monitor arms that mount to the desk that give a floating effect to them. Looks so dope imo!
can you link the updated arms? @@ColeCaccamise
Hey ! Do you think it will be ok for an ultrawide (samsung 49") down and a 27" on top ? Or do you have any other solution ? Like 2 vivo arms maybe ?
I think this might be the ideal setup for me too...
I need a wide monitor for my music and video production but also for software development and gaming.
Ultrawide would be super nice for all of those. If your pc is beefy enough to game at this res itâs a no brainer!
Looks great and definitely thinking of doing the same myself, though really looking for a stand (or a pair of stands) that can accommodate switching the stack. My current ultrawide is 60fps and for colour work, but would love a gaming ultrawide that I could switch vertically between at the end of the day. (Though may look into that LG you have, maybe the best option if the colour accuracy stands up đ)
Thanks man! I havenât seen anything that would let you do that easily, but that would be super nice! I really love ultragear ultrawide though, the 160hz refresh is super nice for games that my gpu can push that far and I still think the colors are very impressive. Itâs the perfect do-it-all monitor for me at the moment.
Or get the AW3423DW which is great for gaming AND color work
I have a 49" ultrawide G9. I have already ordered a Samsung 34" S34C500 ultrawide. I am going to place the 34" on top.
I am exited to see if it will work well for me. That's how I ended up seeing this great video. Needed some inspiration as I wait for everything to be delivered.
Also ordered Ergotron HX Monitor Arm med HD Pivot for the 49" and a double vertical stand for the 34". I am just going to use the top slot.
I don't know if anyone finds this interesting. But since you asked.
That would be a super cool setup!
Great vid
I have 2 ultrawides and love them đ
keep the setup. I am rocking something similar. I came from three 27" in monitors to one 34" ultra wide. While it suits me fine I needed just a little more. In came another 34" ultra wide double stacked. I love it and not regretting anything. If anything, I am looking maybe to adding something down the sides. I love having screen real estate without having to keep resizing/moving windows around. Lazy? Maaaaaybe, do not judge me bro! đ
My setup?
1. 2018 Mac mini - 3.2 GHz 6-core intel core i7, 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 500GB, do not laugh...suiting me perfectly for a non-gamer
2. Dual Samsung C34J791 34-inch 3440 x 1440
Haha nah dude thatâs definitely something Iâd buy another monitor for đ
But only 8GB of ram! Cmon! Lmaoo jk definitely a nice setup man! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah only eight. That is all I need. I only search the web, create documents, watch CZcams on it, etc. I do not do any video creation or rendering, music creation or anything that needs anything higher than 8 GB. Also this version of the Mac mini can be opened if I need more ram installed. Between my 16â MacBook Pro which has 32GB of ram, i7 and 1TB storage, my M1 iPad Pro 11â w/256 GB of storage and my 256 GB cellular iPad mini 6âŠI am pretty much covered.
Got a similar setup, stacked ultrawide, playing and watching youtube or discord or music on the 2nd screen is so satisfying, if u work from home its amazing eye candy.
I need to check Vivo's website to find a mount like this that will support a 49" LG ultrawide and my old 27" LG that's currently living in it's box in a closet...
I love the setup. I would just move the speakers a little to the side and bring the screens down. I don't understand the value of having the speakers underneath.
LOVE THE VIDEO DUDE!!!! KEEP MAKEN VIDEOS Also! Your computer đ„ â€ïž đ is awesome! Epic! Nuff said!
Ayy thank you brother!
And here I am thinking of using 2 ultrawides for sim racing and flying :)
Did you have any problems mounting multiple 34" monitors to a stand that recommends 30" or less? Was any custom rigging/reinforcement needed?
Iâve had no issues. Worth noting that when stands recommend a screen size itâs in 16:9. The height of a 34â ultrawide is the same as a 27â standard monitor
Awesome clock under your monitor. Couldn't find it... do you have the link to buy it?
Itâs the amazon echo spot, it got discontinued so it might be hard to get your hands on
thanks for this vid. The monitor i want to buy is an ultrawide curved monitor lol. So i wanted to see if it was possible and what arm i should get if it is. Your vid helped me out
Glad I could help man! If you check out my latest desk video I actually bought some mounts to use instead of this one that sits on the desk
So if u can answer this question that will be great but would it be smart to put the main monitor at the top and bring them both down tilt the bottom up and tilt the top down would that be a great gaming experience?
are you trying to play on both at the same time? I do know some pro players play with their monitors closer to them angled upwards but I've never tried myself
Currently running 2x 27* inch monitors however i was thinking of getting an ultrawide as a secondary instead of running another one in the future.
I only realistically need 2 so if i get my hands on an ultrawide soon I'll include that in my setup.
I think having a 27â and ultra wide combo would be really nice. Especially since the two are going to have the same vertical height
@@ColeCaccamise I had some idea's however first i need to upgrade my gpu so it can actually keep up with my I9 12900k as well as purchase a new ssd so sadly the Ultrawide is far out of bounds for the moment. I'll prob just get a 3060 ti because i dont need anything overkill haha.
Thank you for responding mate.
W setupđ„
Yooo thank you man!
Great video homie! I probably wouldn't get 2 ultrawide monitors as my desk is way too small to fit monitors with that have a large size, thought I'll probably get a new monitor at some point (most likely a 1440p with a higher refresh rate )because It's a somewhat old monitor that has a 60hz refresh rate.
I appreciate you always brother! Thatâs fair, I really want to get a larger desk because these monitors take up so much horizontal space. 1440p 144hz is like the perfect middle ground imo, you get thr high refresh rate for gaming or just a smooth desktop experience and 1440 is really clear
Great quality vid bro. Your setup is awesome! Lookin to do the same.
Appreciate it brother!
good set up im playing on a hp laptop with a 24-inch monitor with a Maggee keyboard and a red dragon mouse
Thanks! Nice setup!
Hey bro, just watched this video and it was amazing. I have a question, how do you record your 3440x1440 gaming videos in obs and rescale it into 16:9 or when you want to edit and upload it on youtube which is not really suitable for 34inch monitor?
Thanks man! Recently Iâve just been choosing to record the entire screen in obs which in the edit just leaves black bars since I still export in 16:9. Sometimes though Iâll just zoom in within obs
Also, it doesnât work great but in windows sometimes Iâll also just change to a 2560x1440 res. Donât do it too often tho
@@ColeCaccamise so you record 3440x1440 and in editing software, you export it as 16:9 ? Is that even doable bro?
@@ColeCaccamise could you put base canvas 3440x1440 and rescale on 2160x1440 on obs?
What I do is record in obs as 3440x1440, just screen recording the entire monitor, and then drop it on my davinci timeline which is 4K
Hi, I recently got the new MacBook pro 16 inch m1 pro 16gb ram however as someone who edits 4k on final cut and photo editing etc should I change it for 32gb ram m1 pro as I would keep this laptop for 5+ years???
I have a similar model that I use to edit videos and photos. If you want my in depth thoughts I made a video on it last week but if youâre still in the return period you may want the upgraded ram. There are times where I feel like having more would benefit
Why canât you plug peripherals into the monitors?
Iâm trying to stack my 49in above my other 49in monitor. You think that stand can hold it?
I wouldnât trust it for that. I think itâs only meant for 34â screens
I saw this one guy do it on CZcams so I did it as well and well itâs been almost a month with this setup and itâs holding up really good.
Right now im running a 49" with a 27" on top it is the DREAAMMM like i can put up 3 windows on the bottom and 1-2 on the top and read and see all clearly
-edit I got the botom 49" for $800 and i got it new its a G9 240hz 1440p (not the cgr9 and not the neo)
Hey man, how deep is ur desk? because your desk doesnât seem like you have good depth in ur monitor and not hella close to your whole still having room on your desk.
I mounted the monitors with clamps so they're further back now, but the tabletop is 55x28"
what are the prints you have behind your monitors?
Theyâre the orb posters from LinxSupply
Hey mate . Im runnning a 34 inch msi ultra wide rigjt now from my 2022 asus m16 3070ti. I really want the alienware qd oled . Do you think my laptop couso run this set up ?
If youâre running the 34â already youâre not going to have problems. Itâs the same 3440x1440 resolution
@@ColeCaccamise think I could run dual 34inch?
you should be able to, if youâd just be gaming one one the other doesnât use much power
Could you tell me what your speakers are standing on please?
The DS1 stands from audioengine
Did you ever think about just simply mounting the older 34 inch vertically instead?
Nah not really. I donât have the space and I think itâs overkill.. though doesnât mean I wonât do it eventually lmao
If this is "overkill" I am not sure what my 27+34+27 with a 2nd 34" on the top is lol.
But whats worse its all going, just ordered the Neo G9 57" to replace the bottom row and probably putting a 49" G9 Neo on the top.
lmaoo thats sick af ngl
That's it I'm doing it
for the montior stand
Whats the best mousepad you have ever testet?
Iâve not had the chance to use very many. My current one from drop though has been really nice
Hey man I personally use a 55 inch 4k television as my primary monitor since it gives me a lot of real estate for doing various prpductive tasks such as excel, word, scrolling through pdfs and web browsing but then i can just sit back and feast my eyes to a 55 inch tv for watching 4k HDR movies and some casual gaming with my xbox controller
Iâve seen a couple setups like that before, that honestly sounds really nice!
Video guality is insane
Ahh I appreciate that man!
do need the display sport cable
What do you mean?
If you were that into aesthetics (aesthetically-pleasing scenarios, for those into the aesthetics of writing) - you wouldn't have some light mounted to the top of the lower monitor pointing white light directly onto it.
It literally just lights up the desk
What speakers are those?
audioengine a2+
Hehe, I think this must be a dual ultra wide monitor dilemma. I've been running two 35" Asus ROG ultra wides side by side for almost 3 years and finally searched for a mount solution that allows me to stack them on top of each other. Your video is the first I ran across and I am sold! Side by side is great for work, but it is horrible for gaming. I always had to swivel one forward and to the middle for gaming, only to fiddle for 10 minutes to get them both lined up again perfectly, without triggering my OCD :D Thanks for the video! I know now what I must do ;)

Does your neck ever hurt?
Answered in the video
all that weight on one spot. It'll ruin the tabletop mate.
neck pain in the making :D
Best budget neckbrace review coming soon
Shining that light onto that monitor is not a great Idea... Monitors are meant to disperse light, But not intake light, This eventually leads to Wash out Images, which can cause your eyes to strain and cause Eye fatigue... put simply, dont shine lights directly on your monitors.
Itâs not really shining on the monitor, thereâs literally no glare
@@ColeCaccamise there is in a few of the clips in this video... Look at around 0:52
Thatâs because of the angle the camera is at, you barely notice it when actually looking at it straight on. It barely crossed the bezel
Says he's all about aesthetics and then leaves a huge ass gap between his screens. pls..
looking back that gap was huge lmao, I need space for my lightbar so theres a small one now but I don't mind how it looks
@@ColeCaccamise ey, man, whatever you feel like is good. Apologies if came off rude. Have a great weekend, sir.
Youâre all good brother! Have a good weekend
That PS5 setup is terrible. Sorry but thats gonna cause serious neck strains in the long term to look up that high for gaming.
I donât keep it like that for long and didnât end up using it much. Now finally have a TV at home
what size is the desk bruh
