- A lot of you asked for it so here it is!! Today we're reviewing Sofia Vergara's AD Home Tour. I absolutely love Sofia and I had to RESTRAIN myself from watching this when it came out so that I could react to it in this video. I think her home is super cool and I want to give a major shoutout to the architect and designer that worked on this house. What did you think?!?! Do you agree?

I actually like how understated this is. Maybe a bit sparse, but it is not garish. After all, she is the star of the show, not the house.

It feels like the home suits her, which I think is the golden standard for celeb homes. Feels homey which I like!

This is a party house, for Sure! I love the architectural details, the arches, the light, and the connection to nature. And I LOVE the ceiling in the dining room! The house does have quite an empty, impersonal feel. But I don't think I could judge it properly, unless I were in the space because personally, I'm always striving for a light, open feeling to my spaces.
She is definitely very charming and has wonderful taste! Loved Modern Family 😅

I think her home is elegant yet minimalistic (except being her clothes closet!😂). Not enough art for me, other than that, it was fabulous and I love Sophia’s comical humour. PS: Phoenix, I think your taste in clothes is so unique yet beautiful and elegant. 🤗🇨🇦

I freaking love Sophia. She is a queen and I like the subtly of her home. It’s not ostentatious like many celebrities. She’s sophisticated and classic.

In comparison to KK's 'Cotton bud - Horton hears a Who house', Sofias (with less bags) house and architecture leaves K's standing..Oh!, and it's actually a 'livable home'.
I am surprised that I actually like the exposed hinges on the kitchen cabinets. Without seeing them here, I would have said "ewe" if someone mentioned it. But seeing it...I didn't hate it.😂
I feel like it very much works with the overall style of the kitchen, I just felt the handles on top of the exposed hinges were a bit extra. Still a kitchen I wouldn’t complain about cooking in 😉
I actually like it too. Maybe because it is not typical and I could see how it could look messy
The problem with the exposed hinges on cabinetry is that it means there is so much wasted space in the inside. Hidden hinges means there’s no frame in the way (Frameless Cabinetry). Imagine opening up a cabinet with doors and there’s a frame in the middle, forcing you to put a big dish in sideways. It also makes the drawers minimum 4”smaller in width because they slide on / inside a frame instead of utilizing the entire box.
In short, they’re a pain in the arse and very rudimentary.

I just love her, and I loved how she handled this tour. I admire that she is so hard working, but has clear goals, accomplishes them, and LIVES. I am so with her on china for the table. I agree about table settings being such a great element of entertaining, and I love to do it myself. Her china is absolutely wonderful. I'd so love being able to just talk about things like that with her. This was a very fun video, great choice! I actually thought her bed was beautiful, that tabouret in her bathroom was nice, and I'm so happy she has a Botero just like she wanted. I've been to Colombia twice, it's a great country, and it's no surprise someone who knows how to live like she does is from there.

The hinges on the cabinets add to the kitchen bc the kitchen is so white, they also go with the stove/oven. That's why they are there. Without the hinges showing, then the kitchen would be boring imo.

Omg that would be epic! I loved Tan's many videos and the number of personal, cultural references throughout the home was phenomenal! But I heard another CZcams interior designer criticise the whole facade of the home for being Old English Tudor yet set in Salt Lake City. I don't agree with that sentiment because if you're building your DREAM home then it can be anything you want darling! Would love to hear Phoenix's take.

Baby, that outdoor space 😍 ❤️ ♥️!!!! Give me fruit, wine, and a nice fire, and I'll never come inside. I love the architecture of the home and love the natural light flooding her bathroom!!! Love the view from the tub and love the tile in her bathroom.
Thank you I also think the house suits her. I love the exterior and especially the covered and curtained patio area. The lounge areas are beautifully livable and I like the lack of too much colour. The kitchen is not me either. It does read as Traditional Mediterranean but it looks very Her.
Agreed. A bit too neutral for my liking in terms of colour, the little coordination of colour is a bit too “pop of colour” for me, but overall beautifully executed.

I would probably have preferred the Transylvanian castle. This is a rather standard issue California house. The parrots and her painting were the only items with any personality.
Hey Daddy, I love her style. It isn't mine, but it is cozy. As the video went on I just started asking myself if this is a house or a mansion. I think her outdoor eating area under the arches is bigger than most apartments.
I love Sofia Vergara and her house is beautiful. I’m not keen on the hinges on the outside of the kitchen cabinet doors as they would be so fiddly to clean.
I like the countertops - because they look translucently light rose pink, which is lovely in a white kitchen. But for someone who cooks - a lot - what materials could give me a similar look without the headache?
Agreed! It’s gorgeous for this kitchen. If it’s wrapped in pro shield it would make it safe, but otherwise an alternative I would look at a quartz or even a porcelain that has the onyx look to be comprable. Definitely not the same but close

Kudos to Sofia for incorporating what she loves in her home - like the "🕊️🐦." And she'll be 52 yrs. young this summer. Sofia has also admitted getting Botox for her neck and eyes, along with microneedling and laser treatments. She said she would also consider plastic surgery. But heh, it's the business she's in, and ya gotta do, what ya gotta do.
It’s one of te more beautiful homes I have seen in a while, like how sparse and not full of “details” is.

I liked the dining room ceiling, the bird trinkets and the columbian art because they speak to her personality. Otherwise the rest of the house feels very generic tbh, it could be any rich person's house.
Different celeb but: You are correct that celebs at her level often don’t cook. I spent the night (😉) at Brooke Burke’s when she had a party like you described (very similar home). In the morning her cook made me breakfast. She’s super down to earth despite that. Plenty of celebs make you feel right at home with their hospitality despite not knowing the first thing about how to work their $30,000 stove. 😂

Definitely elegant, but being Latin I guess I expected more color and furnishings. This house looks cool and light, rather than dramatic. I'm a tool and hardware nerd, so I liked the kitchen hinges.

Too much pale blue, gray or grayed out wood, unnatural wood colors, and distressed way-too-chunky-credenzas and cabinets throughout. And what about all the bare-bulb, candlelight-shaped bulb chandeliers-even one in the bathroom?
