It seems I always get a dud head when two are included, but my luck has been holding on out that the lesser wanted ones are the lesser quality. Not this time. Hmmm.

The 3 Lightsabers that Anakin has are his original one from attack of the clones. The green one is Anakin’s alternate lightsaber in attack of the clones. And the last one is Obi Wan’s alternate lightsaber used when Anakin dual wields against Dooku.
No alternate mechanical hand? Seriously? Also, I hate when "alternate heads" look only about 5% different then the standard head. If I'm going to be swapping heads on something I payed a lot for, I want the different expressions to be worth it!
That's been another thing in this line, especially with Mace and Obi-Wan. Barely different enough to matter.

best figure likeness IMO, face sculpt is spot on especially the angry head. The angry head I've got doesn't have any eye printing issues? very strange

there's nothing wrong with the Prequels the execution was fine people give those movies way more shit than they deserve and the Prequels are definitely better than the shit Disney shat out.
as probably one of the few anakin fans, it was painful for me to have to cancel this pre order but seeing your review, made me few a bit better. here's to episode 3 anakin coming out and being better.

Please keep doing these intro's they're ace. Can't beat a bit o jazz hands. I know we might get a General Grievous, but man we need a Dooku now. You know a Christopher Lee or even a Peter Cushing head scan figure would be great.

I actually really liked this one, but I'm partial to Anakin so my opinion is probably skewed in the figure's favor. Definitely not perfect but he's good. I like being able to have him dual wield sabers, I'm a sucker for that. Episode III Anakin, which you just know is coming, is really where it's at though.
Agreed, I think I'd be much more excited for an EPIII version.
Guess I'll be getting the less-exclusive version without the angry face since so far his aftermarket price point is at most $70 while the complete set is averagely $100. Not that I really need an AOTC Anakin as much as I need an ROTS version, I just feel like I'm obligated to own at least a couple of SHF to represent each movie.
Unless you have the EPII Obi-Wan, I'd wait for an EPIII. Unless you just gotta. In fact, EPII Obi-Wan still goes for relatively cheap so that's not a terrible way to go.
Wasn't really planning on getting Obi Christ since he's just the Phantom Menace version (which I'm already happy with) with new heads, but yea, I probably will still eventually get him if he ever gets as low as below $30, or BANDAI finally decided to release General Grievous. The two I was always looking forward were Padme and Anakin (regardless the romantic connection they had in EPII was quite cheesy).

Technically we do see Luke side by side with Anakin, later on in the saga. Vader is taller than Luke. Well anything is taller than Luke, except for Leia, R2, and the Ewoks.
Haha, too true. But I gotta think, Vader has new legs, they could add a little height if he wanted to be more imposing or whatever.

Hey Robo. I am one of those few guys that liked the prequels I guess and other than Obi-Wan, I liked Anakin. I was very much looking forward to this figure, but like I said the other day, I missed all the pre-orders. But no way in hell I am going to pay 100 plus dollars for this figure. I have the black series Anakin form ep III and I really hope Bandai release both Ani and Obi-Wan from that episode or just Anakin with extra sith head an an ep III Ob-Wan head would also suffice. But I want this ep II. I really hope that it is re-released someday. I don't know the chances of that happening. Great video man, as always.

somebody made a ROTS custom anakin and it looks sooo good, dont know if youve seen it fwoosh but i im hoping we get an ep3 anakin soon.
also the head has horrible articulation because tamashi decided to put it on a single ball peg instead of double. i was wondering why i couldnt move his actually head forward , and then taking off the head and looking into the peg its hindered literally because thats how its built. not a super deal breaker for me because overral the figure is nice but just kinda threw me off.
and just a small note, my angry face's eyes seem a bit more centered than yours do. i feel like in the cases of these printed faces it almost comes down to how the machine prints each figures face. definitely need some QC on that

I actually combined shipping with a buddy in San Antonio, less money, so I had to wait for it to hit him, then ship to me. And then I waited a day after I got it, haha.

This was a Soul Web exclusive, only available to the Japan market and wasn't brought in by Bluefin, it's one of the harder figures in the line to get now.
For the money they want for these.they should be perfect.

Just received mine today; angry head sculpt looks really nice - no wandering eye, just dead lock stare. Might be hit or miss QC? Nice review as always!
I usually have pretty bad luck with the QC, I've noticed. If there's a loose joint or crooked paint to be done, mine usually has it, haha.
NECA is my love/hate with QC. Always writing their CS to replace something broken. Now, it's receive fig on a Tuesday, and replacement part the following Tuesday. Weird!
It is now guaranteed that Figuarts Episode 3 Anakin is in the work. I guess I can give the middle finger to scalper and wait it out for the definitive Anakin figure on my shelf without trading in my kidney

mine came with the eyes pretty centered. but i totally agree, the texture of the cloth is missing and its so distracting when posed with the other shf star wars
btw I actually disagree with the SHF Star Wars "having peaked" and currently on a downward spiral: I got my Han Solo a couple of weeks ago and I think it's one of the best likeness (20% chubbier-faced than it should) they've got, with Mace Windu and both Luke's beating him only because they're amazing) so far. I will say though that "only one head" is not good for us costumers. The Exclusive Kylo Ren with the unmasked face was also by far the best likeness this character currently has in any line and the new Darth Vader could be a huge improvement over the first one.
Great review as always Robo! For some reason the forearms look a little long on him. In the side by side with Obi Wan their elbows are at the same height but Anakins hand hangs lower. Might just be me? If I were to get any version of him I hope the make an Ep.III version.
I think the elbows are just a little higher proportionally because Anakin doesn't have all the mess of articulation at the shoulder that Obi-Wan does. But now that you have me looking at it, it does look a little long. Hrm.

edit: the sleeve is deep so the lightsabers will fit for "pointing the lightsaber" poses.
Yeah, I get that, I liked it with Obi-Wan, but they might have went a little too deep here. Well, not TOO deep, but you know what I mean.

great review I dropped my preorder because it's too expensive for an episode 2 . I like my episode 3 black series I just want a custom head. I dropped my figuarts qui gon and got the black series figure and saved over a hundred

I really dig this figure and I love all the Star Wars movies so I enjoy the prequels as well. One thing I really like about this figure is how sturdy it feels. There's a few figures where the arms fell off while moving them but this one was perfect. I can't wait for Padme, C-3PO and Qui-Gon, any Figuarts human characters from Star Wars are an instant pre-order for me.

Seriously, there's absolutely no other difference between Ep.2 & 3 Obi. They could simply just added an extra hair piece for the last figure

Well that's Hasbro's forte'..... ;) But in all seriousness, most of the time those are recycled moulds to adapt to changes of the new upcoming movies. These are characters of movies from over 10 years ago. Even Mafex give few options in ranks for their next Death Trooper and Shoretrooper figs.
Is it just me or does the angry head look more like the face he makes to Padme in that scene where she tells him to "stop looking at [her] like that" and Anakin's got this pervy face and keeps staring at her till she leaves the room and hes all like "sorry m'lady"

The Clone Wars made me like Anakin a lot more.
I still need to dive into that series. So much of it though, kinda of scary.
It is a big time sink and there are quite a few of filler episodes in between the big storylines.
I agree that the 1st two sequels are weak but call me crazy, I love revenge of the sith. Maybe it's just a nostalgia thing (first star wars movie I saw in theatres as a kid) or the fact that ROTS Palpatine is one of (if not the most) quotable characters in the saga. Plus the duel at the end is superb (besides dialogue). Idk man. I'd love to see them (Mafex or Figurarts) give Palpatine a treatment where he comes with a couple heads, lightsabers and lightning effect. Easily the figure I want the most followed by a ROTS Anakin and Obi-Wan

Yeah, at certain angles it seems okay, it kind of freaks me out. And yeah, I kind of have a feeling that if this was at least the EPIII version I'd be a little more forgiving. Maybe. Still expensive.

I personally think this is a pretty decent SHF and they nailed both of his faces...if you got a good copy, which apparently you did not :( Mind you, I said "decent", which may not be a enough for a higher priced exclusive figure.
Anyway yeah, Anakin is not an interesting character (especially during the first two episodes) so I'm not sad this is an exclusive..now EP III's Anakin would be a lot more interesting to me, since that's arguably the best movie in the prequels. Do you agree, Robo ?
I can definitely agree with that, when it started to get dirty and gritty. I definitely favor ROTS over the others.

I've had a string of bad luck with SHF lately, until Padme. Odd paint, crooked, etc. but after pointing it out I get a lot of people commenting that theirs or another reviewer's wasn't like that.
It looks like a good figure but I don't like Episode 2. Once they bring out an Episode 3 Obi-Wan and Anakin, I'll buy them straight away because Episode 3 was a solid movie.

Oh man, FINALLY somebody is honest about this figure! With all the internet gushing over this exclusive, I was beginning to regret not ordering this. I didn't get this because of the reasons you point out in the beginning of your video: I just really don't like Ep 2 Anakin and I didn't want to spend so much on a figuer i hate.
But everyone on FB and Instagram nearly creamed their pants over this one so I felt I was missing out. But thanks to the ever honest reviews of the Fwoosh's Robo, I don't feel too bad. Obviously, he's a nice figure but I find his friendly face too girly and his angry face not angry enough.
The prices this commands on Evilbay are ridiculous so I'm just gonna wait for Ep3 Anakin, like you said.

I pre ordered a non exclusive exclusive (haha) for 60 bucks on ebay in early may. Shipping was a bitch though. I'm cool with no angry head but I did want the extra lightsabers to use with customs. Oh well
They are really really generic, you'd be just as good grabbing a couple of Black Series sabers and cutting into them.

This is some unfortunate news. Especially with hasbro knocking their most recent jedi, qui gon, out of the park. That figure is so good i might never buy another figuart if they keep the same level of quality across the line. Of course the episode 3 anakin and obi wan are much weaker. Paint is a little weak on ol jinny but i light wash of brown does it wonders and hasbro seems to have fixed their cartoony eyes. For $20 it's everything the black series should have been since it's inception. Cant wait for a review from you on it!

The reason the left eye on the angry head looks weird is because Anakin has a slight lazy eye. The lazy eye is more prominent when he’s angry.

It's about the same width as the EPII Obi-Wan. And yeah, I was really looking forward to the angry head. If I had known it was screwbally I would have just ordered the regular exclusive version. Having the extra lightsabers is kind of nice though.

Disappointing Alternate Head, Definitely..
Seeing the Figurart Anakin and Black Series anakin side by side, make the BS one look absloute crap.
It really does, the Figuarts one just looks better overall. But it better for how much more expensive it is.
I'm glad I passed on this figure...
Soon we'll have Padme to complete Episode II Geonosis battles hehe. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme, Mace, Clones, Battle Droid. I like this figure but found the articulation lacking in the arms for sure.

Lol! I loved the moody jokes and intro! I personally like Anakin, although in The Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones, he was a bit annoying and whiny like Luke was in A New Hope and The Empire Strikes back, but you have to admit, Anakin was better in Revenge of the Sith like Luke was in Return of the Jedi. I guess what we learn from the Skywalker saga is this:
The Skywalker males are whiny brats and the female Skywalker in this saga (Rey) has her 💩 together.
I don't know how but the chicks seem tougher in the Star Wars univerce over certain males. XD Anyway, great review Robo!

I don't like sand. It's coarse, rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
