One of the best shows - takes a giant of a man to admit his shortcomings...listen and learn people. top fella.
This show has gone up a level since we got Jonny May on board. Hope we can still have him when he goes to France. This was a great interview with sinckler. Really enjoyed it
Absolutely.
I think that was the best sports interviews I've ever listened to. Honest and laying it all out there as an England fan it s so refreshing to hear a player speaking from the heart and not following the script.
It's what the media have prevented over the years with their witch hunts and scape goats.
Well done I wish you all the best in Toulon and will follow your progress with huge interest.
Really inspirational stuff
Thank you Karl and GBR
As a Saffa I have nothing but respect. Very honest conversation. I don't think anyone here in SA would hold him responsible for the semi final loss.
from a South African .... all the best.
from a three legged tri sexual thanks
What an incredible interview... Sinks truly is a big man... it is the right thing to take ownership and responsibility and look to improve but, as an England fan, although I could see that Kyle was not at the heights he had reached before, it never crossed my mind that he was solely responsible for our defeat by SA in World Cup 2024.
Something that does worry me is that the England players feel unable to express themselves like this off the pitch - and, to be honest, the national team sometimes feels to me like they are unable to express themselves on the pitch (maybe it is connected) - I hope that GBR and the examples of Jonny and Kyle allow other players to be themselves a bit more, as they have a whole country willing them well.
Look forward to Sinckler Mk II - hope everything goes well in France.
Sinckler Mk II. I like that 😂
Kyle, great honesty and something every young man should listen to to help on their own professional and personal journey. I, and many more I am sure, can definitely relate. All the very best going ahead!
I am looking at Kyle Sinclar in a much more personal light. This was a brilliant episode. Thank you
Hope to see Sinks back in an England shirt. What a professional he is and you can tell he has so much more to give. It's really good having Johnny on it's levelled up the show.
Thanks peeps. Sinks you are growing as a human being........ great to see! Enjoy your journey
One of the best podcast/interviews. So open and honest. Big up Sinckler. True inspiration!!!
😊😊😊
Great interview, yet again. Thanks GBR!
Alex Payne is the best in the business - don't think he gets even close to the credit he deserves. Legend!
so true. well said.
Geez he’s harsh on himself- great humility. Must say I always enjoyed his passion for the game and his candidness. Much love from SA. Also, England had us for 70 out of 80 mins in that game, could’ve easily gone your way Sincks!
Such a brilliant episode. Amazing honesty and insight from Sinkler, great support from May. Fantastic episode.
This was fantastic viewing, Kyle Sinckler is a brilliant bloke. As a one-eyed Welshman, i'll certainly be cheering Kyle on!
As a Saffer, up until now, I've never liked Kyle, but I must say I have new respect for the man.
It's rare to see such honesty with sports celebrities - Well done Sinks!!
I hope Kyle Sinckler and the rest of the England team realise, and this is from the heart.... we stand by ALL of you through the thick and thin..... i think i can talk for every England rugby fan... WE WILL NEVER TURN OUR BACKS OR WALK AWAY FROM ANY OF YOU, AND WILL ALWAYS BE STOOD RIGHT BEHIND YOU NO MATTER WHAT.
Astounding honesty and insight. He gets my vote.
Sinks for PM!
Haven’t watched this in months and genuinely came back when I saw Sink talking so openly. Have felt those struggles playing his position at a good level and was so great to hear him open up. Never seen these guys talk so openly.
What an enthralling episode, thanks to Sinks and Johnny👏
Kyle Sinckler 👍👍👍👍👍 RESPECT, RESPECT!!!! From South Africa 🇿🇦 🇿🇦
Sending massive respect from Australia 🇦🇺
Best athlete interview I’ve ever heard
Thanks for opening up sinks
Hard to stop watching this. Sinks, fair play to you and all the best for the future.
Wow - What an episode.
I've been a GBR supporter for a while now, but more recently I've been switching to Ben/Dans For the Love of Rugby as GBR has been a little beige recently, especially in comparason to the George Ford epsiode, but wow, this has but GBR into the stratosphere. Rugby aside, we've had the privilege of watching/listening to the story of a boy turning into a man and as a big fan of 'the daddy' I am in awe of his story and the delivery of it - what a great guest, great episode and great yellow socks
Wow. Just wow. Fair play to you Elis. It's one of the most difficult things to be so brutally honest about yourself. I might have cancer and to be fair it'll likely be because of the way I've lived my life. Thanks for being so open. I don't actually think you where that bad!! 😂😂
It’s Kyle buddy but more importantly, good luck with your health.
Owning mistakes is a great quality. Much respect
Kyle, always a fabulous player but what an inspirational guy! The honesty and integrity off the charts, remarkable. Should be given to every elite athlete when they start the journey.
Great show. I hope he has a fantastic few years down in the south of France. At his best a great player but had a difficult few years which he clearly understands and owns. Looked like he was close to be backing to his best at the end of the season with Briz. A big man to face up to it. Very articulate and continues to be an inspiration. Love to see more of him on shows like this. Good luck for the future Kyle.
What a fantastic show. Another England great opening up about his journey and showing the world his personality. Top work from the 3 regulars just letting sinks speak. Keep it up fellas
To hear Sinckler say things along the lines of wanting to perform for his country, his coach, social media stuff and what we want to put out there to inspire others and perform for himself...really really inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Another commenter called him "top fella." I'll second that.
Two legends of the game! Wish em all the best moving forward
From a French guy in Australia, very happy for Toulon with such an amazing recruit…. Great story ahead for you Mr. Sinckler…🙏👍
Great to hear Kyle so happy and excited and motivated . He’s in a great space and I wish him well. Only read about him really and thought attitude was his biggest problem . Comes across on here completely different to his media image. Wish him well and hopefully we can get to see him in an England shirt again. Reckon we will have him not only back to his best , but maybe better than ever. Just imagine this team that Borthwick is putting together now ,gaining a tighthead as good and experienced as him.
Maurice Colclough (RIP), England lock who partnered Bill Beaumont, played for Angoulême in the 70s - I may be mistaken, but I think the first England player to move to France. Surprised not to hear this mentioned - lost to memory, I suppose.
Brilliant. Well done Kyle 👍👍👍
Fantastic show. The best GBR episode, to my mind....Sinks showing massive honesty, and laser focussed for what comes next. I would not bet against this man.....
Huge Admiration for this interview, great episode!
Top man Karl, would love to see you back in an England shirt, you’re an inspiration and I think the best of you is yet to come, keep it going.
Who’s Karl?
wonderful podcast. Thanks for sharing Jonny and Sincks
Gents brilliant show...open book from the heart with the experiences and more importantly life lessons learnt; Huge respect.
What an amazing interview - the honesty from Sinks was moving. Required viewing for everyone. Thanks for opening up mate.
Great show, huge respect to Sinks, loved watching him play at quins. He will smash it in france I have no doubt
Kyle Sinckler, what a wonderful human being. We love you man and we're looking forward to you smashing it in France. Well be watching. ❤
A brilliantly candid episode. 👍
In his prime, one of the best tight head props England has ever seen
Great episode - well done, GBR 👍
Love this, well done Kyle and Jonny, great addition to this podcast
I really enjoyed this show. So much honesty and accountability, a lot of respect for Kyle
such a great episode - always enjoyed Sinckler's passion, through all the good times and the tough ones.
One thing that strikes me: It'd be such a shame if scrums are diminished.
Props are such unique people, in their conditioning, physique, their job on the field, their lifestyle and backstories before coming into the game. We need to keep them and their stories in this game. I honestly enjoy hearing them talk a lot more sometimes than wingers and the flashy lot.
Great show, Sinckler is a legend, I hope he reinvents himself in France ready for the next World Cup.
What an insightful conversation, open and honest and very relatable. Its funny how many similarities there are between us all, no matter where you are at in life and if your at the top or the bottom, moving out of your own way, owning your true self, fighting to make yourself better and not beating yourself up too much mentally or physically. This was great to hear, thanks daddy Sinck.
John-Kler is a quality duo, would listen to them on their own pod. Great guests!
One of the best and most honest interviews i have heard
what a show well done team!👏
Great listen, I wish them nothing but the best with their new clubs..
This was brilliant show👏👏👏👏👏👏
Kyle Sinckler 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I’ve taken so much from this as someone who thinks a similar way, very impressive and thoughtful words
The “back” story is compelling. South London, single parent household, the chance encounter at a 12 / 13 age group rugby game, Epsom college, and then all the professional rugby achievements. How different may that have been if he was also raised by his father. How ironic and poignant the nickname of “Daddy”. Best of luck for Toulon.
I typically listen to GBR on Spotify, but had to come here to say this was the best sports interview i've listened to.
Rugby has so many great characters from the light hearted and funny, to "daddy's' unique take on things.
Uncompromising honesty, fun & a great show.
awesome podcast, Kyle is a wonderful player and bloke
Love sinks honesty and desire to improve. Great show as usual.
Excellent discussion, hope it pans out for both of them
What a show, really admire Kyle for taking ownership of his past and know he'll make a comeback we can all be proud of.
Always had respect for Kyle
You have to admire Kyle’s honesty here - takes a lot to admit to shortcomings like this. Fair play, and good luck moving forward 👏🏻
Well he talks a good talk. Look forward to seeing the results on the pitch! Hopefully the English football team were taking notes.
Love that it was still DSP when Kyle played there.
Brutally honest self reflection of a superstar of England rugby
Good luck Kyle💪
Another thing, Tindall might want to show interest when someone is opening up about their feelings and some quite difficult things to say.
TF are you on about?
Top man Kyle all the best for Toulon, JM go well , excellent show
Love Sinckler’s Honesty
All the best Sinks
New found respect for Sinks.
Love sinks honesty, deep thinker that what i presumed he would be, keep smashing it sinks
Great stuff from sinks; extremely honest and open. However I think he's being overly harsh on himself: the starting England pack had already crumbled once or twice in the SA semi-final, so it wasn't just Sinks who they beat. Obviously a ferociously effective front row.
This is incredibly honest
I wish Kyle all the best in France
He will come back a lot lot better for it
Good bad rugby just knocked it pit of the park AGAIN
Keep Jonny May, he's such a good fit!
i have a son the same age as kyle , let me say any parent who watches their son play rugby is so lucky ,show us what your full potential is ,i know your'll do well
Great interview, Sinks came across really well, rare to see that side of professional sportspeople.
A world away from that episode about the Saudi sports washing with that pleb from LiV golf
I know it's basically a meme at this point, but Tinds sat on his phone as Kyle poors his heart out is not the one - must be distracting for the guest.
Despite this, great pod. Jonny and Kyle were excellent!
Can we stop spoiling the best parts right off the jump??
Graveney remembers x
great interview.. we are all our worst enemies unfortunately.. one of our greatest battles along the way..
can i ask what this snoz is? i thought he was talking about something else..
Snoz is powdered chewing tabacco essentially, I think it is also called snus. It is available and used by a lot of sportsmen from all different sports around the world. I don’t think it is performance enhancing or illegal, it’s just a thing
Respect to Karl what an inspiration ❤
Who’s Karl?
You let us all down on that day, especially me, because I predicted an All Blacks England final before the tournament even began.
What a silly comment. Who cares about results at the end of the day, these guys are people just like you and I and what matters most is their wellbeing and happiness.
i respected Sincs before , even more so now.
Hehe, typo, probably autocorrect, bloody thing!
Hearing other podcasts and English players like Lawes, Marler and Youngs talk with a real lack of professionalism and schoolboy humour it doesn’t come as a surprise they’ve not won anything on an international level. Biggup Sinklar for speaking so candidly, perforctly demonstrates the new found mentality and attitude. If only more English players could learn from you and drop the arrogance, humour and entitlement.
Also celebrate the trophies, not the scrum penalties.
Last show this season? youre not covering the Summer Tours? incidentally can anyone tell me why no one picked up the England Japan game on terrestrial?
When are the summer tour games EVER on terrestrial television? Just get sky or even better go to the pub with your mates and watch it 👍
Don't worry, we will have reaction to the Summer Tours. This is just our last show from the studio.
Very honest interview came into the bears with a bang and had a great last season, bit wobbly in the middle but good luck in France always welcome back if the cider is not good
Because rugby is an ugly, boring game (kick and clap, etc) which is watched by "toffs" like Alex, and imho needs to be made more appealing to most sports fans, like football and Euro's 2024, which to date has been excellent
@@john-williamodwyer1544Then why are you here?
what a difference to the angry young man at Quins ... He will make a great coach when he's had enough.
Keep the main thing the main thing ™
Who is his natural specialist. My backs in bits.
So much better without Haskell...people can talk without constant interruptions
I've said for many years that Sinckler has the worse attitude and body language of any professional rugby player. He thought he was some hard arse Gansta when in fact he had all the attributes but not the mental ability to put them to work. It is remarkable that his coaches didn't see this and help him years ago. It's very refreshing that he has been so honest and lets hope France is his turning point
Could Payno speak French with a posher accent?
Brad Barritt is a better pundit than Mike Tindall
His mother Katie Price is gorgeous ..
What does any of your bs have to do with the show? Did you even watch it?
Excuse the naivety, what is snoz?
I think they said "snus" which are nicotine pouches you put in your mouth. Apparently quite a big things in sports for focus.
