    Good video. I thinking of getting a XP Deus 2. I have a friend who just picked one up and he is impressed because it supposedly can see coin, relics and gold while eliminating the trash around those things. I’ve got a GPX 5000, a SDC 2300, equinox 800, Gold Monster 1000 and a Whites GMT. Might add one of these to my arsenal.

Primarily a beach hunter here, and I have a question for you, which you may have mentioned in your video, so please excuse me if you did cover this. Is there a master reset to reset the controller to factory settings?

    • @MentalMetal
      @MentalMetal  Před 2 lety +1

      No, not as of .71 update. But your settings aren't saved unless you save them off to one of the empty 12 slots. So you can't really mess it up too much. Some of basic settings like audio level etc. will save but most of them go back to default when power on the Deus II. You can redo the update and that will probably do a reset for you if you really want to reset it.

    hi from Scotland .. NOISE CANCEL .. should I pointing the coil say at the powerlines or other detectors when doing a noise cancel .. thanks

    • @MentalMetal
      @MentalMetal  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I would point it (waist level) towards the powerlines or whatever might be causing EMI, otherwise just lift it off the ground waist high and do the noise cancel.

  • @georgemohr
    @georgemohr Před 2 lety

    We used to "noise cancel" with the coil waste high and not touching the ground. Is this no longer necessary? Good instruction ... thank you =)

    • @MentalMetal
      @MentalMetal  Před 2 lety +1

      I think its probably best to raise the coil, I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the manual though.

    • @georgemohr
      @georgemohr Před 2 lety +1

      @@MentalMetal ... If I remember correctly, the ground balance and the EMI were two separate readings. It's possible the newer machines record differently ... idk.

    have been looking at the XP Deus I / II for ages, only thing that keeps puts me of them is the sealed in battery life span in them have read many a time the Deus is capable of only 3-4 operation hours instead of 11-12 as from new

    • @MentalMetal
      @MentalMetal  Před 2 lety +1

      3-4 hours! Friend where are you getting your information? For the D2 here are the facts, you can get up to 30h out of the remote, the WS6 headphones are good for 14H, the coil fully charged will get you 12hours but only 8 if you are using Prog 6 Deep HC. If you use the coil in mono frequency you can get anywhere from 10-20 hours. Hope that helps.

  • @corrylofchick4925
    @corrylofchick4925 Před 2 lety

    How do you find the weight? I'll be going from a nox 600 with the 11in coil to the xp with the 9in, the nox is cramping my hands up due to the weight

    • @MentalMetal
      @MentalMetal  Před 2 lety

      You can find the weight in the tech specs and in the owners manual. It weighs about 1.65 lbs starting out. Add the control box and a bigger coil then you are talking just over 2 lbs.

  • @ConeyIsland1952
    @ConeyIsland1952 Před 2 lety +1

    so you gave up on the equinox 800 for relics? I undecided on the deus II or the EQ800

    • @MentalMetal
      @MentalMetal  Před 2 lety

      I don't think I ever said that in the video my friend but to be 100% honest I would take the original Deus over the Nox for relics. I don't have enough hours on the D2 to make that determination just yet. However, after a coin hunt I did yesterday we could be heading that way.
