I am a Norwegian music journalist, and Hayde’s music hit me so hard a few weeks ago. I`ve been listening to them since then over and over again. It`s some kind of magic to this band and Rebekka’s angel like voice with her expression and unbelievable overtones. Hayde’s live performances of “Wayfaring Stranger” and “All My Tears” make me believe there’s a God and there is eternity.

I'm from Texas not far from where this song originated in the heart and mind of the artist known as Julie Miller... But this is by far the best version of this song that I have ever heard or ever will hear! Music needs Rebekka's voice, Moa's violin, the accordion and all these wonderfully talented beautiful musicians known as Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra!!!

There are indeed beautiful mountains there. Some old folk tales speak of folks coming from Norway and settling in the Southern Coastal states over a thousand years ago. The English in the 17th century who settled in Virginia spoke of "white natives".
Truly amazing! I've played bluegrass since 1959 and these people take second place to no one. The female vocalist and fiddle player are not just note close they are spot on. It's a shame more people don't know about them. I believe in the USA they would me considered a phenomenon.

I grew up and lived the first 30 yrs of my life in the same KY county that Bill Monroe was born in. I've lived the last 30 years in Nashville TN. I've heard bluegrass a time or 2 and this is without question the best I've ever heard. I don't think I took a single breath until after that last note, and then I realized I was crying. I hope it takes heaven a long time to realize they are missing an angel.

Aye that. I've worked in radio; I've run sound boards. No way I could do that good a job. Live? One take? As you say, "bloody great job."
YES. I've said this over and over about their sound guy. However, I can do that as well. I run almost exactly the same setup he does and have for decades. It for great certainty takes much patience and even more skill, talent and experience.
People say it can't be done. But obviously, they do it, and so do I.
FABULOUS JOB ALL THE WAY AROUND.
But for those that aren't aware of the recording approach and style this is referred to, it's widely explained as "LIVE TRACKING". Far different technique than one would expect or likely been wrongly taught. Those mics in that atmosphere is truly a challenge. But when challenge achieved? Well. You see/hear the result. I do it every day.
About time someone gives credit to the real talent . I would like to shake the person's hand that mixes these talented group . It takes a lot of work to get a group like this to sound so blended and the perfect touch shows with each note !
@@user-op6ne2mu3s I was in a band for years and we had several different people working the sound board over the years we had everything from the absurd to the sublime and you could see how the crowd responded as to the sound board persons quality of work.
They take a live mix and post mix, like everyone. But amazing performance anyhow

You have many great songs, but this is my favorite. The song paints a beautiful picture of our hope of Eternity with Our Savior Jesus Christ. Your rendition makes my heart ache in the best way possible.

I went back and listened to the version by the song writer, Julie Miller, as well as the Emmy Lou Harris version, the Emmy Lou Harris WITH Julie Miller version and the Ane Brun version of All My Tears. The Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra version is by far the best version of this song. Hayde Bluegrass brought the song to life in a ways none of the others did. What an amazing arrangement with incredible vocals. Absolutely beautiful!!

This is a beautiful version most definitely. But I grew to love this song as Julie's song and her voice will never be matched in my book. Her voice is simply a treasure. Yes, it's not for everyone, but to those of us who love her, it's magic.

@@kjones3693 "Go" has for millenia understood as an acceptable synonym for "die" in the end of the earthly lives of Cristian believers, just as the Apostle Paul used the word "sleep": this expresses the certainty that death is no end for we who go to join our King.
(Not just the English word "go" which has obviously not been about for 2000, or even 1000 years but words which translate to "go", leave, depart, etc. In similar fashion Paul didn't say the Enhlish word "sleep" but the Greek (or Latin or Henrew or Aramaic) word that meant "sleep".
As one gets older, this amazing beautiful song gives me peace.

I agree -- Ms Nilsson can put soul into a song few can match. The rest of the band unique as well. Time and again, I can listen and still feel the intensity of the first hearing.
@@IdealDanl I so agree. I love all kinds of music, and many pieces have stayed with me most of my life. Yet, few really "haunt" me like lady Nilsson's voice. At 74 I'm so grateful that I can still discover music that lifts me up and connects me with the rest of humanity.

This whole group is incredibly talented and listening to them is pure joy. Particularly, Rebecca's voice, her emotions and control are hauntingly beautiful and memorable.
I just learned that this group is from Oslo, Norway. They recorded a cd in Glasgow, Scotland in 2017. Their style and appearance had me fooled also. I thought they were straight from the mountains here. I understand that that some folks from the mountains might be able to tell the difference, but for me it sounds authentic, including audience reaction.
The same Viking genes that Oslo has sent us in the members of this band, are also part of Scotland, Ireland, and any other place in great Britain where the Viking genes found a place to take root, and those same songs that came with the Irish and the Scotts to the colonies in the new world as indentured servants, soon made their way to the hills and mountains of Appalachia where their songs blended with yet another group of descendents of that mixture of Celts, Gaels, Danes, Swedes, and the Norse. Where the sagas of the heroes and the laments of tragic loss are mixed together with traditional instruments in a harmonic mix that just raises the hair on the back of your neck. It is something primal from ancient times that speaks of a people who will persevere in life despite all the troubles that might come their way. Taking their power from the music of the high lonesome hills.

I was driving home from my mother's funeral the first time I heard his song (sung by Emmylou Harris). I had to stop beside the road and cry for a while. We had it played at my father's funeral. Hayde does it wonderfully.

I discovered this group by accident today on CZcams. What a find! The blend of spine-tingling voices with one of the purest lead vocals I have ever heard...the complicity and the excellent musicianship..I am SO thrilled to have discovered them and they now have a lifelong fan in Montreal,Quebec, Canada.

Ok i wonder how such a young soul in today's world of plenty can have such a voice that expresses the yearning of those in pain and need? Expressive , magical is the only way to describe this group!
When i heard this group for the First time, it touched my heart. Rebeccas voice ist so wonderful and outstanding. Normaly they should be at the top of the charts. There are so much bad singers earning millions with their Musik. But this fantastic group has really deserved it. I wish you all the success that you deserve.

I just read an article in the Sunday NYT about a woman who asked that this song be played at her funeral. It's now on my list as well. I've sent this video to a friend in my church choir who I've entrusted with my wishes. I do hope it will be a long time but what a blessing.

My wife and I last spring spent our 12 year anniversary. Up in the mountains in north Georgia. We had a beautiful time riding up to
a cabin I rented. We spent the whole week just relaxing and looking out at the mountains listening to Hayde bluegrass orchestra and of course Chris Stapleton. She was only 52 in August when I lost her to a heart condition. I just wanted to thank Hayed for such perfect music for such a beautiful time. God bless y’all

I didn't cry at my papaws funeral ,when some one said something about it , I relpied Do you see his wheel chair in his casket. He is up anf and walking around for the first time in years. No more pain and sufering I'm happy for him.
