Smart Battery Checker
260,000 color display visible under strong sunlight.
Exquisite and powerful BG-8S smart battery checker fully support BattGO technology.
Make battery smarter
Cooperating with BattGO technology, only with XT60i connected and you can get full knowledge on detail parameters on your batter. Easy to read cells voltage, battery circulations, working parameters and fast set to your preferred settings.
Auto balancing cells voltage
Advanced auto balancing algorithm, make sure every cell is well balanced. After completion auto into low power mode.
Powerful portable charging function
Connecting to your battery, BG-8S can become your power bank for mobile devices. Support Qualcom QC 2.0/3.0, compatible with BC1.2 and Apple devices. Maximum output 12V/2A.
Receiver signal test and protocol analysis
With standard 3 pin plug, BG-8S cab detect BEC output voltage. BG-8S also support multiple protocol analysis including PWM, PPM&S.BUS and etc. With future firmware upgrades more Protocol analysis will be supported.
Multiple measurement connections
Support XT60/XT60i, XH2.54 1-8s balance lead, XH2.54 3 pin, JST ETC to measure voltage. Support LiHv, LiPo, Lilon, LiFe, NiMh/Cd battery and BEC output measurements.
Support USB upgrade, multilanguage options
BG-8S has Micro USB port, easily connect to PC to perform firmware upgrades.
XT60i Meant for BattGo
BG-8S uses XT60i connector which was jointly developed by ISDT and Amass, support BattGO technology, and highly compatible with original XT60 plugs.

Thanks for the video and for making it complete. This is the only video I found that actually showed how to test the SBUS input. Thanks!
I am glad I could help you out :-)
do you know if there is a way to check the voltage on a tiny whoop sized battery? It says it will do 1s but idk how to make it read out the voltage. I have connected a separate battery to the XT-60 to give it at least 5V but when I connect the tiny whoop 1s battery via a JST like shown in the pictures of the product I get no voltage shown in cell #1. Any ideas?
Hi, thnaks for this video. To balancing a battery is it OK if I only connect the balance port without the xt60i cable? Thanks for your answer
Yes, as far as I recall you can use just the balance plug for that.
I good tool, I love it.
Hi! Do you know what type of connector the balance port uses? I actually have an ISDT T8, which has a seemingly non-standard balance port similar to the BG-8S, and I'm having a heck of a time determining which connector to use for a custom 7s Li-ion battery. Thanks!
it uses JST connection
The USB port is it 2.1 amps, If so you can discharge with that.
+Kevin burden Yes, you can.
Do I need to have the Xt60 connected in order to use the balance feature? Or do I just plug in the balance port?
As far as I can remember you will need to use both, but you can simply try it out and see.
I purchased this device and it is awesome! I need some help updating the FW. I am using a Windows 10 PC. I downloaded the files from the ISDT website. I manually installed the driver but when you open the program, it does not see the device. when the device is plugged into the PC nothing powers up. I am using the micro usb port on the side connected directly to my PC What am I missing? ThanksRich
Sorry, I didn't update the firmware of this device. Hopefully someone else will be able to help.
May I ask a question?
I use lipo battery charger Q8 Isdt 1000W, and the input power is 24vol 30A.
When I charge 4 batteries of 6s 5000mah at the same time through the charger, does the balace mode work at its best?
thanks everyone!
Hi, what do you mean by "its best"?
The balance charge will be divided among the batteries so it will be relatively slow (in comparison to charging a single battery).
do you have any idea where to download the updater tool for the BG-8S?
Check this video, as it's done in a very similar manner: czcams.com/video/DI6hMRWmJqc/video.html
Hi, I just got mine in the mail, and it did not come with instructions, or even the connectors. Do you have a pin-out diagram I can work from?
You can find the link to the user manual in the description of the video.
what is the minimum value for low voltage alarm? Is there a way to cancel the alarm?
+gearstil 2.5v. Yes, it can be turned off.
Balance current ?
I don’t remember but it’s extremely slow.
Can 8s battery be used?
Yes
Nice video. Can it show the C indicator of the battery too? :-)
Thanks. No, you can't measure it using a charger :-)
@@KremerFPV but this is not a charger right...its a battery checker ;-)
@@kennethjensen7358 You're right. It still can't do it.
