Hi Kathy. In 1977, I was 10 years old. I’m a sixties baby! So growing up in the seventies, I would hear the sounds of the day: KISS, Queen, Aerosmith, Zeppelin. These were from my brother. From my sister it was: Parliament Funkadelic, Streisand, Mac Davis, Aretha, Spinners, Sister Sledge, DeBarge, Diana Ross. From my mother: ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK. When After The Lovin was released in ‘77, my mother and grandmother went nuts. I absorbed these sounds and would instinctively follow the soft musical passages. In the eighties I started playing electric bass - Fender Precision Bass. It was such a fertile time for music back in ‘77. It was a way of life. I’m addicted to music. I took my parents (rest is sweet peace) to see Engelbert in the late nineties and we had a ball. He still got it! Shame about Pat. He lost the love of his life. Makes me wanna cry but that’s the cycle of life. Wanted to say hi Kathy and share my enthusiasm for this legendary singer. And YOU saw this tour! I’m jealous!!!
