I started doing this 3 years ago. Postpartum shedding took a huge toll on my already fine, fragile hair and this was the only way to properly cleanse my scalp without over-manipulating my hair

I put my shampoo in a hairdye application bottle. That way I can insert the long skinny applicator through my hair and directly on the scalp, even if my hair isn't deranged yet.

Your hair is beautiful, I have coarse 4c, high porosity hair and in 10 years it never grew as long as yours. It only grew when it was in locs. But I'm looking forward to trying this system!😊
Have you considered that your constant struggle with breakage might be an internal body issue?
Might be hormonal, stress, nutrient deficiency or your body just being itself. I'm saying this because I have the exact struggle. My crown thinned out and is shorter than the rest of my hair. The breaking won't stop no matter what external treatment I try. Trimming doesn't solve it either. I have been avoiding stress and my hair seems to be better not totally healed. I honestly gave up on external treatments. So perhaps a visit to the doctor might help you too if you haven't already . P.S. please stop letting fluff nugget shrinkup so much on wash day, especially the way you let your ends loose. I don't see how it's helping your breakage issue. Just my humble observation. Your ad was definitely creative 😊
I like using Melanin Hair Care shampoo bottle becuz I get the shampoo directly on my scalp. Once it's empty I will use it for my moisturizing shampoos

Why do you call your hair sticks.? You sound like it is only dry, with a lack of protien. You hate your strong black hair. Insane !
I guess I’m confused about only using shampoo on your scalp. If we focus products on our hair, wouldn’t it make sense to shampoo scalp and hair?
It depends on how dirty is the hair, what type of products were used and how stripping is the shampoo, but the point of shampoo is generally mainly to clean the scalp. When rinsing, the shampoo will pass through the hair and remove excess oils and dirt and that should be enough to keep the hair clean but not striped.
Yea I use heavy butters so i put shampoo on my hair
Your hair gets shampooed anyway in the rinsing process as the shampoo rinses out down the hair shaft. No need to manipulate the length of the hair directly.
@Trinity M I try to clarify once a montn but moisturizing shampoos doesn't sub until the 2nd pass. I don't put much on the shaft of my hair. What subs I get on my scalp and roots I rake down my shaft as I gentle finger detangle. So it's not extreme but it gets the butters off. When I use flaxseed gel I don't have to shampoo as much but gels dries my hair out so I can't use it too often

I don't see what you see in matrix. No judgement but I don't think it works. Maybe it's because I prefer lather or I just don't like how a rinse out conditioner get absorb into the hair completely. Why not try showing it in the shower and let's see how it reacts with water?

I am curious to why you believe you have high porosity hair. Your hair struggles are identical to mines but I didnt see true progress until I started deep conditioning weekly with my steamer at least 2x a week.

Maybe it's the sealing oil you use. Switch to hair grease or something non pore clogging like sweet almond. I love coconut oil but when the sun hits that and it starts running down your face 😭
Thank you for this explanation. I just did a big chop where i shaved off all of my hair because it wasn’t growing. I wanna say that I do have high porosity hair because i over use products that have different kinds of ingredients that I use on my hair, as well as washing it with hot water and using different types of shampoos/ conditioner. As well as blowdrying and combing it everyday. I believe that is what caused me to have high hair porosity because I’m an impatient person and I don’t know what my hair likes. I want to be able to use natural products. Or would it be best to not be any products on my hair? Right now my hair is shaved so should I wait until it starts to grow out?
Can I ask why you gave up using Fenugreek? It sounds like you loved it in February’22 but by May ‘22 you say porosity has increased. Do you think the fenugreek caused damage? I haven’t had the guts to try it yet. I know it is high in protein and I wrecked my hair last year with protein overload. I’m so curious what your final thoughts on fenugreek were ❤
