Suzi Quatro rocks! I do think it's sad that I'm 17 and no one I know, not even my parents, know who Suzi is. Everyone should know who she is. She's a fricking role model, unlike people today.
Girl my souls about 6 hundred years old. I love so much no one ever knows anything about. It’s lonely, and beautiful. I’d be your best friend if I could. Don’t ever be afraid to be different. 👍
I'm 30 and I absolutely love and adore Suzi Quatro so much. I do love some music from today but give me the First Lady of Rock and The Queen of Rock 'N' Roll Suzi Quatro any day. How can one rock 'n' roller be so cute and adorable yet at the same time be such a powerhouse. Love her.
Her best song of all. Suited to only her. Her reaching those "na, na na na na" screaming notes is exceptional! She must have thrilled with delight first reading those fab tight llyrics. Outstanding writing by Australian Chapman & U.S. Chinn.
Not the Queen! THE EMPRESS OF ROCK AND ROLL!! Suzi Q was the pioneer who influenced every rocking Woman of the 70's and 80's. There has never been any-one like her
Dennis Snyder Totally agree with you. I literally wanted to be her like many young girls did back in the 70s. Best rock chick ever whom was the original and the coolest of the entire era of course!🎤🎸🎼 This rare video is just brilliant because it brings back such precious memories to me. "Your Mama Won't like Me"⭐️🎸🎼❤️
Let's not forget the true rock pioneer, the woman that originated the raspy voiced female singer, the Queen of Rockabilly, the one, the only, Wanda Jackson.
Melbourne 1975, and a boy 10 year old buys an album. Wow, how everything changed! Rock funkadelic by a woman who could speak her own mind! Say thank you Lady Gaga, oh and Madonna... get in line and start bowing.
This album was brilliant and was ahead of its time and only the real fan gets it and can hear the great songwriting and musicianship on it. Suzi was the benchmark for women in Rock. The others were following.
Truly the benchmark. I can never give any credence to the so-called R&R HOF without Suzi Quatro being there. Some that have been admitted just leave me shaking my head.
@@anthonydixon452 I think she deserves to be there based on the fact she did it and survived . She is still going ( even though she did a farewell tour )?? But she made it and I did not.
I love Suzi Quatro. I've been a fan of hers since I was a teenager and managed to pick up a cassette of "The best of Suzi Quatro" at Woolworth's on King's Heath high street. This song is so good in so many ways. The musicality is outstanding. The performance is fantastic. The way female sexuality is portrayed as a real thing without resorting to writhing around in a bikini. There's a reason why I've kept that cassette for over 30 years.
I seen Suzi in Charlotte N.C. back in 1973 when she was touring with Alice Cooper. I was only about 13 years old. My sister took me under PROTEST about what she had heard about Alice Cooper from her so called friends. I didn't care what she heard!!! I TOTALLY LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THE CONCERT... Suzi made a name on my lips that night ✌✌😎😎
I bought this album when I was 16, I could have bought 3 of any other albums in the bin for the same amount. I listened to it yesterday and I am still happy with my investment.
classic.......remember when my dad first saw her on devil gate drive he says to mum hey mum look a girl on the guitar lol that was back in the day suzi rocks
bought the single when it was out... might even still have it.... Suzi Q was, and still is, a legend... so many good tracks.... thanks for the upload Sergio.
have i mentioned this before ? that when color television first came to australia in 1975, as an 7yr old boy this was the very first thing that i saw in color,i remember that squiggly line and suzi's change in musical direction for this song attracted some criticism
If anyone thinks Suzi couldn't back it up live?!!! Come on. That ol' Pop Show Studio stuff could never keep this one down! Ever! Anthem stuff. How many others were at that stage when any boyfriends mamma surely wouldn't like you? Plenty. Wasn't it fun??!!
Damn great bass player and badass musician. She desrves to be in the rock n rooll hall of fame if those money grubbing primadonna would just do the right thing and nominate her. Thanks for posting Sergio - rare indeeed
Yep. As it should be. Her Dad (who had a part-time jazz band) gave her a 50s Fender Precision bass in 1964. She learned to play and started The Pleasure Seekers doing absolutely stompin' screamin' rock and roll the same year. So she had more than a decade playing rock bass here.
28if I know it’s been 10 years since your comment. People don’t know Suzi that much because she didn’t have great success in America. I guess they weren’t ready for her. She was much more known in Europe.
Excuse me, the runaways formed in 75 and Quatro played Leather tuscadero in 77 snd 78. Just saying. Quatro released her first album in 73 but wasnt "discovered" till happy days episodes hit the airways. It's kinda sad. She's never gotten the respect or true recognition Suzi so deserves. The women is a pioneer in Rock in do many ways.

Leather Tuscadero! 👍
Honey, I know who she is and we play her music all the time on our FM radio show, The Church of Rock! Even interviewed her last year!
Nothing hotter than Suzi Quatro shredding the bass with her whiskey voice singing "I like my music loud".
What a classic! One of my favorites!! It's 2024 and I have been a fan since 1973. Always will be her biggest fan❤🎶
I like my music loud and I stand out in a crowd.
I remember listening to this as a teenager and loving it
I absolutely love the damn lyrics to this. She's spot on.
she's a super star .her talent always amazed me.loved her music since the 70s .have albums from back then.
Her best song of all. Suited to only her. Her reaching those "na, na na na na" screaming notes is exceptional! She must have thrilled with delight first reading those fab tight llyrics. Outstanding writing by Australian Chapman & U.S. Chinn.
Nicky Chinn is English, but he lives in the US now.
Frankly, if I'd ever brought Suzi home, my mother would have spent more time with her than I would.
Suzy at her best . The best female rock singer of the 70s without a doubt. Love this track. Was my theme song in my teenage years

I grew up listening to suzi , shes friggan awesome and an awesome song

Fell in love with Suzi as a 13 year old, still got her LP

Brisbane. I was 4. Seeing this on one of those Saturday morning music shows, I was hooked. My older brother bought me her Golden Hits album.

I'd think Ronnie or Claudine Clark or The Shangri-Las would be the benchmark for women in rock.
@@williamwhitman4889 Suzi gained more attention than most others and had The Hells Angles has her escort on Australian Tours in her hey day.
@@michaelmarshall1713 I had a crush on her when I was a kid, Happy Days.
Alice Cooper not to long ago covered this song.
That version of "Your mama wont like me" should be re released as a single. It would do well. The all new... Funk Rock!
tony p Alice Cooper covered this song recently
I just bought this on single 1975

My mama would (and does, in fact). She was a hard core rocker back then, and Suzi was one of her favourite singers.
I bought this album when I was 16, I could have bought 3 of any other albums in the bin for the same amount. I listened to it yesterday and I am still happy with my investment.
One of a kind. Should be in all the rock n roll halls of fame

Went to her concert at the Phila spectrum
in 1974--She was awesome-she did a bass solo that was unbelievable.

I got my first "taste" of Suzi around '75, '76 in Philly when she opened for Alice Cooper.
Did she put a great gig together? Unfortunately she never came to Brazil. I tried to bring her over 20 years ago, but I could not find sponsors ....
Love You Suz!...
