    Carp Fishing In The Winter Months
    For this latest episode we took the camera's down to the Barford Lake complex, with the aim of catching a few fish from there fantastic 'Mill Lake'.
    Originally we were meant to be joined by good friend and Norfolk Carp fishing ace Rob Shanks but unfortunately he was unable to make it, so it was left to Steve to try and put a few fish on the bank for the camera.
    How did we get on...? Watch this 26 minute epic to find out!
    We hope you enjoy the latest episode and as always feel free to like, comment and share.

      Thanks mate, we try not to promote any products, we just try and make it all about the tactics and the fishing etc If we did mention any, it would only be because we use and like them, it would only be our personal preference. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to comment. Cheers Chris :-)

    • @FromTheWatersEdgeTV
      @FromTheWatersEdgeTV  Před 10 lety

      Hi Michael, thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the video! :-) We are using Daiwa Emble ST Reels (I believe they are still available) and Greys Prodigy Carp rods. The mainline is ESP Synchro I believe, I'll double check with Steve for you though! If you want any further information on tackle then please feel free to send us a private message on here or Facebook, I can provide you with some links then if you need them! :-)

    Hi guys would you say sight or smell work better with baits in cold weather we in back end of February now and I just wondered which would hopefully trigger a response from carp

    • @FromTheWatersEdgeTV
      @FromTheWatersEdgeTV  Před 6 lety

      Both! Haha... bright high attract single hook baits can be perfect in the colder months. Re-cast them around your swim every 30-60 minutes, and move on any sign of fish. :-)

  • @fraserterry7929
    @fraserterry7929 Před 8 lety

    fishing singles may work on a little commercial like that but it doesn't work on other venues as well as people who are putting some bait in. I fish a 5 acre runs water which has a lot of matches on in the winter I can go though 5 kilo of boilies/particle in a day session and have 20-30 fish which has a much bigger stamp than people using singles and small baits theres nothing wrong with a 20mm bait a 2lb carp is able to fit it in its mouth. Just something to keep in mind but keep it up lads.

    • @FromTheWatersEdgeTV
      @FromTheWatersEdgeTV  Před 8 lety

      Hi +fraser terry glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to comment. You are correct and I agree 100% with what you say, different things work differently in different situations, it's all about working it out on the venue you are fishing on a certain day, in a certain set of conditions etc Anyway, thanks again! Hope your fishing is going well, cheers Chris.

    Very nice video just wondering how long does it normally take for PVA to melt? I tried fishing with PVA for the first time today and i just tested a bag in the margins. It took almost 10 minutes to melt.

    • @FromTheWatersEdgeTV
      @FromTheWatersEdgeTV  Před 10 lety

      Hi Otto, there's not a specific answer to that... it depends on the PVA your are using and the temperature of the water you are using it in. If the water is very cold then PVA can take a long time to disolve. I believe ESP used to (not sure if they still do!) make PVA which was suitable for different times of year. They gave it a PLY rating for the thickness, so in winter you would use a smaller PLY than in summer. Hope this helps a little! :-) P.S thanks for taking the time to comment, always nice to hear some positive feedback! Cheers Chris
