Nice job. BTW how's the prop doing ? I would consider putting one anode closer to the cutlass bearing, the closer to the prop, the better. I personally fill the holes in the anodes where the nuts and bolts are with white silicone to minimize 'first' corrosion of the stainless steel. My anodes always last one season (salty North Sea) and don't come off.
Thank you, so far no issues with the props, it's original from 1988. It's mostly fresh water here but with a little salt in it. That's a great idea about the silicon in the nut bolt holes, I'll give that a try this spring and also may take your suggestion on moving the anodes. Cheers from Eastern Canada
We did not and have not had issues with them loosening up, but it certainly wouldn't hurt. We replace them yearly, and the boats in the water from mid May to September (fresh water).
@@PovertyPointCustoms , ah, a Canuck. I am not too familiar with your channel. I will watch more of your videos. I used to live in a border town (Detroit) and visited most provinces, but never got to Newfoundland or Nova Scotia. I do appreciate instructional videos, but, TBH, find gross mispronunciations grating (a personal problem). You do seem to b a good sport and I will try to appreciate your videos.
Thanks for the video
Thanks!
