The Rose Parade is an annual event going back 120 years. The Star Wars crew was there only this once as George Lucas's personal entry to celebrate his appearance as Grand Marshal.
The 501st really does what they said, they are not a bunch of guys who live in their moms basement. Most are well educated and have families of their own. In fact the guy who is Darth Vader is an engineer and has 5 kids. The kids at hospitals and other places love it when they show up.
Very very cool. Wish I could have been there. The commentators weren't very knowledgable, but at least they tried LOL Both of the floats were amazing. And the 501st just made the whole parade.
@mezachoria The Swiss army actually carries weapons but you can't see them. Also they are very good and reputable but not compared to a trained soldier from U.S.
… i would be the worst person for the drummer spot in the army… not because i cant keep time… because i would be doing crazy shit like fivelets and other such mind fucks for staying in step (fivelets are 5 individual notes over 2 beats (3 in the first and 2 in the second))
