This song is AWESOME, so fast and intense. When Metallica had their bass auditions after Jason left the band, Robert Trujillo was asked by the band which song he wanted to play, and he asked for this song. The guys looked at him, like are you serious bro?? Then they played it and Rob just killed it. A few days ,after METALLICA called him up and had him join the band. Been 20 great years since that day. If anyone wants to check that jam session out, just search CZcams Robert Trujillo bass auditions hit the lights. Was AMAZING

@@williamhartman5977 No. He did not. The bones of the song came from James' high school band Leather Charm. He and bandmate Hugh Tanner wrote a lot of it.
Then when James met Lars, the song was arranged & finished.
This song was on the very first Metal Massacre (January '82) compilation and was performed by James (vocals, bass & rhythm guitar). Lars on drums. And Lloyd Grant did all the lead work.
Mustaine joined the band in February '82.

Love that song - and an underrated album as a whole. But... i just cant stand seeing them live nowadays. Lars is destroying every song ive seen them play... thank god he wasnt that lazy and horrible in these albums. How is it possible to play an instrument for more than 3 decades and only get worse with time? Heartache :(

  • @u.s.m.c.fewproudthemarines2987
