If I was you living in Thailand, I would not comment anything about the King, considering the strict lèse majeste laws.

CNA, you have interviewed the wrong person.
Firstly, why are you interviewing someone who has neither direct link with Thailand nor the Thai people?
He kept using the word "I think" which gives me an impression that he knows nothing about Thai royal affairs. Please find the right people to interview next time as this video is full of misinformation.

ElevationLowJJ if looking for a real relevant Thai there should be a law in Thai not allow any comment on its royal.

Hi JJ, Dr Lockhart is my prof at NUS specializing in Southeast Asian history. He is fluent Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese and Lao. I believe that he is qualified to give insight into the Thai monarchy.

Hi JJ, my professor is an expert in Thai history, with his research focus on the Thai monarchy and is fluent in Thai. Like what Tedd said I believed he is qualified to comment.

I agree 100%. Regardless of his academic credentials just look at how he comes dressed to an on air interview about the Roayal family of Thailand. Too casual and with a Filthy Tee shirt. Slovenly!

Buddha fought against Brahmanism and their caste system. But these foolish monks call themselves as Brahmin Buddhist and doing rituals of Hinduism. Ridiculous things happening in Thailand. You people must re-learn Dhamma. Read revolutionary Buddhist, the Architect of Indian Constitution, Dr. Ambedkar.

I think buddhism spread in diverse way. It's normal if a country has a specific way to live their buddhist way. Perhaps many people just don't fit with Dr. Ambedkar's approach in Buddhism, and that's just fine. Please don't turn our buddhist way to be a fundamentalist struggle in abrahamic religions alike. Here in my ancient Indonesia, it's super normal for a king crowned as embodiment of Siva-Buddha.

Those who don't know what happens in democracies, blame their place of origin.... so sad.
India had hundreds of Kings, of which just 0.0001 per cent of them were unpopular.
Now Indian Democracy has thousands of Politicians....( are we Lucky??) and thousands are being added every year.... Not even 0.00001 per cent is loved EVEN by those who voted them in Power. This SAD Truth of Indian Democracy ot today....
They are Big Burden on Economy as well as Middle Class.
