Then they want u to think that them paying for parts benefits the us, the contractor, when in reality they just wanna bypass markup on time/material, then they want to lowball the labor, AND THEN expect you to provide extra work/services than you originally agreed upon and pay the same cheapskate price.

Customer's Viking range was red tagged by gas utility. Customer moved the heavy ass stove downstairs into the garage for storage while the kitchen hardwood floor was being refinished. Customer called for stove repair, it was condemned because there was a gas leak from the stove. There was no gas hookup in the garage to check for gas leaks and had the nerve to ask me to move it back upstairs now that the kitchen floor was finished. Told her I was a technician, not a mover. Lol

Legit question, but why would you connect actual gas to a stove that is already known to have a leak? Don't you have some kind of identifier gas to use for that? Like in a portable tank? Like in my truck shop, we charge AC systems with nitrogen because why would we pump freon into the air and where we're breathing if we already know it's going to leak out.

About 10 years ago I was riding my bike down the road when a lady stopped me and asked for help moving a new refrigerator into the house. Its why we send an extra guy with each truck, do the little things to make our customers happy with us. Then if we have a week of rain, so we can't make it and when we do it might be too long to do the kind of standard we aim for. But they never complain about it. Invest in that goodwill fund with long term clients, we can pay them to do our advertising for us.

We were delivering/assembling at Whirpool/JB Hunt. I was with one the guys who was used to Electrolux and was moved there to get acquainted. We’re delivering this bed to a customers home & it was uncrate/haul trash (no assembly) They tried to make us assemble the bed along with moving the old bed out the room (not on paperwork) I had to explain that to the customers housekeeper. We uncrated removed the trash and left. If it’s not on the paperwork, it’s not getting done.

We were delivering/assembling at Whirpool/JB Hunt. I was with one the guys who was used to Electrolux and was moved there to get acquainted. We’re delivering this bed to a customers home & it was uncrate/haul trash (no assembly) They tried to make us assemble the bed along with moving the old bed out the room (not on paperwork) I had to explain that to the customers housekeeper. We uncrated removed the trash and left. If it’s not on the paperwork, it’s not getting done.
