- I really enjoy using the Nerf Shellstrike in Roblox Nerf FPS so I decided to go out and buy one in real life. It's not as satisfying as the game version...or the Sledgefire...but it's a fun shotgun pistol. And now I have a lot of shells for it!

I love that blaster, it was one of my first mods. I cut off the shell storage and then put a 7kg accutrooper spring in it and it’s so fun.
They should make a aa12 basically a stampede that takes the shells in a magazine 🤯

ok, im pretty sure the shellstrike is OP in zombies cause of two reasons: one, theres actual health, and damage is calculated by projectiles connecting, so the shellfire having three shots makes it easier for a one shot, and two, you have unlimited clip, so ammo doesn't matter
It can be OP but zombies still have to be in range and every shot counts, especially when you’re alone.

Only inaccuracy in this game is that blasters have good range with stock performance and darts fly where you want them to 75% of the time

The best part of the new shells is that they are physically larger than the sledgfire shells. 3d printed shells can be much more adaptable. I've seen a few designs come out with 6 full /12 half lengths and triple mega.

A tiny bit of sanding of the flippy barrel will make the shells not lock and allow you to yeet the shells one-handed while your other hand grabs the next shell. Massively speeds up reloads.
I was pretty invested in sledgefires and bought them second-hand for the shells a lot. Now I'm investing in the trilogy shell platform bit by bit. Trilogy with a hopper and a spring upgrade is pretty sweet.
I put a cut down ultra5 spring in mine and, besides giving it much better performance, the strength of the spring pushes the plunger tube forward harder. If I front load darts, I can push as hard as I want and the front won't accidentally separate. It's so much more solid and consistent overall.

I learned my lesson from the Slingshot & shells. Ive literally have bought like 10-15 packs. 2-3 of them at full retail price, rest on clearance. I will not be fooled again Hasbro...LOL

Roblox Nerf FPS is awesome and so much fun to play since most of us foam flinging warriors can’t get out to play like we did pre pandemic.

I have a shellstrike, I broke it when I tried putting in a slightly stronger spring. It felt very nice with that little extra kick, but the weird prime mechanism is really weak and snapped.
Maybe next year a Double Barrel shotgun? With 6 shots?

I like my shell strike, but I'm also not thrilled with the performance. I do really like my trilogy though, and that blaster is the main reason I have 20+ trilogy shells. I'm working on building a KMK18 with a triilogy shell front, which is MeakerVI's 3d printed blaster that turns a nerf knockout into a shell firing shotgun pistol. Its basically a shell strike but it actually gets good performance.
I've also had a sledgefire ever since they came out. I like it, but I'm not sure whether I like it any more or less than the trilogy. I have way more shells for the trilogy (need to print some sledge shells) which is the main reason I find myself using the trilogy more. From a performance or modding standpoint the sledge has much higher mod potential (radioactive has gotten as high as 270 on a single barrel out of his) and the reload speed is pretty similar on both. The sledge is slightly slower, but with a shell ejection mod its identical.
The one way that the trilogy has an edge is if it has been modded to have a hopper or shell magazine. That can give you around 4 or 5 shots before reloading which makes it a much more effective blaster. Joltking and Domochesche (spelling?) (the rail cleaner dude) are working on a 3d printed shell hopper design for the trilogy that has swappable hoppers. I'm really excited for that, hopefully it isn't too expensive.

The Trilogy wasn't bad but yeah, the Shellstrike is a bit disappointing because of the no-eject-anism.
Something with an in-line tube is an obvious want.

I love this thing. I threw a 12kg retaliator spring in mine and it’s definitely one of my favorites. It reminds me of a shortstop from tf2 and I plan to paint mine up to look like one

I haven’t got one yet, but I’m looking to eventually make a master key with one, so I have already started buying shells. Even though I know the Sledgefire is a lot harder to make into a master key (that is to my liking anyway) I love the Sledgefire more.
As a nerf/foam fps hypersweat i can approve that the shellstrike is one of the best weapons in the game (for zombies)

Started playing this after watching this video. Saw Beret in game last night.
I didn’t know anyone in the nerf modding community would ever find it. I started back in 2017
they have an official game with grenades and turrets, but its mainly ultra and elite 2.0
My shellstrike is a lemon, the shells don’t lock in place. So I can yeet the shells
i bet ya 30 buxx thatthey release the next 3 shot shell shooter with a different and 3rd non interchangeable 3 shot shell that wont work with the 3 previous shell platforms
but
the 3rd iteration / platform will probably offer 3 seperate blasters
alright it's worth noting that the reason the shellstrike and trilogy don't include one extra shell in the blaster is so you have a space open for an empty shell. Other than that, big agree
I will happily take extra shells if they were included! Even if they can’t all fit on the blaster.

Honestly, that design decision could be useful for a certain niche of hobbyist, specifically NERFers who:
- randomly wake up in a public park NERF War,
- don't have any pouches,
- only use a Shellstrike
- ....and don't have pockets for some reason?
I don't know, maybe too many nerfers struck a bargain with the Almighty Pocket Stealing Goblin in exchange for more shells, or something.

I guess they saw that nobody was interested in a £40 single shot blaster and assumed it was the shell system we didn't like.

I've got 10 shells. But everyone is using this blaster wrong, you add the attachment + shells. Then use it as a shellstrike display holder! 😂
if you use the shellstrike for like a month, the lock kinda wears down and it becomes more easy to yeet the shell out one handed

I want to like it, but the included shells are so terrible. The internal barrels are miserably short. With the only upside being how MEATY they are, so making your own rebarreled shells is really easy.
