That's where I had my first coffee mocha back in the 70's, there was singing and friendliness to be found there. Good memories!👍❤️
We used to go cafe Trieste in the late 1980s. Even then it was a Mecca for coffee folk and beatniks, just around the corner from another landmark: CITY LIGHTS BOOK STORE. Love this ( the only place that has better coffee than Trieste.

Place has been mediocre for coffee for the last 20 years. A shame, used to be the go-to spot.
It probably costs an arm and leg. anyways, no more SF for me till the crime stops.
