Not sure of the context behind his statement because the person who he was replying to deleted their tweet before I could see it (probably was somebody talking shit). But between that tweet and Rory throwing it out there later in the week that Cole and Kendrick talked the night that Like That dropped it seems to me that A LOT of context is missing. A lot of assumptions but the bottom line is this. Cole has always been the neutral party between Drake and Kendrick because at one point they were all cool. And unlike others I knew Nas was gonna come back hard and whoop Jay ass cos the quiet ones are usually the most dangerous plus contrary to the popular narrative then, Son wasn't as cold as alleged despite Nastradamus cos I Am was dope and a commercial success, IWW was classic and a super commercial success while Illmatic is what it is. 2. Hit em up 3. Checkmate, 4. The Ripper strikes back, 5. 2nd round knockout
Rap devil that's my favorite record and video I can play that like yesterday that's my favorite M&M fans going to get mad at me but I don't care let's talk about it the last time you seen 8 Mile was running through the treadmill
Only 1 mention of No Vaseline is crazy 🤯🤯🤯
Tupac got two top diss tracks….”Hit ‘Em Up” and “Against All Odds.” Also, Lauryn got “Lost Ones” which is crazy/classic!
Yeah “Against all odds” was fire. I guess people don’t mention it cos it was released after his death, and the people he swung at couldn’t get the chance to respond due to his death.
@@mixesandmeats01 I didn’t think of it that way. Great point!
First Person Shooter by Drake and J Fold went #1 in 2023 Mase.....
1. Ice Cube - No Vaseline
2. Nas - Ether
3. LL Cool J - To Da Break of Dawn
4. Canibus - 1st Round Knock out
5. Eminem - Killshot
I’d replace J Cole with Joyner Lucas in the Big 3.
If you gonna put an em track in at 5 I’d put nail in the coffin..surprised that didn’t get love but kill shot did. It was a good song but beard is weird raps idk
@@phettywappharmaceuticalsll8842 Nail in The Coffin was dope, but the rebuttals on Kill Shot were ridiculously surgical and got MGK out of here.
If anything I’d give the edge to “The Sauce” over “Nail in the coffin”.
Straight up though, Ain’t nothing forgettable about “The Ripper Strikes Back”. Y’all are older now. With all the info of today’s web, y’all should be able to get what LL was saying in those bars. Not to mention “Rasta IMPOSTA & “Back Where I Belong”. Uncle L don’t play when it comes to these battles.
Cin is a mad man...u man still with the bad Pac takes thought we learned our lessons?.....Everyone knows Pac carried Hit em up....Pac was giving his lil mans a chance to shine he didn't need them..ontop Pac still had 3 fire verses and the greatest outro of all time..u man skate between being real and borderline flagrant
Couldnt have said it better. Thank you!
Doesn't like Hit Em Up cause it wasn't a solo mission and a crew went at one guy but he likes like that; that isn't a solo mission and a crew going at one person lol, yet likes No Vaseline cause it's one dude going at a crew, however doesn't like push-ups even tho it's one guy going at a crew of niggas lol............ Pac still got 40 yrs NYers in they feelings.
Best diss track - Nas/Lupe/Fab
I know yall don't wanna agree buy facts Cole ain't going no where he built what he built off bars not controversy, Rich, and most important Ladies love him which statisticly ladies drives the sales! Cole still top two get Barbecue Kenny outta here!
Saying this after Cole apologized to Kenny is crazy
@TheRapRoundtable he only apologized cause he didn't want to hurt his feelings anymore he figured Drake will take it from here which he has we getting barbecue Kenny up outta here for 2024 we are the cap peelers ✌🏽
@@TheRapRoundtableThe fact that yall can’t have a more intelligent perspective based on the nuances of this beef and your knowledge of the industry is simply astounding.
People forget Dre day was diss
J Cole finally disappoint Nas
No stillmatic freestyle on here is crazy, there's no ether without it. Nothing from the Jada v beans or 50. Majority of the best diss tracks were on mixtapes 🤔🤔
How is it crazy if folks have their own preferences? Put your 5 up rn and stop the judging and complaining. ADD to the conversation
I'm a big fan of the show. No malice in my statement, as Jarv said LRN was the exclamation, I feel the stillmatic freestyle was the indent of the story 😊. Here's my 5: Stillmatic freestyle, Ether, No Vaseline, Checkmate, & styles verse on Reservoir dogs
5 2nd round TKO 4 Rap Elvis 3 checkmate 2 TI diss lil flip on stage 1 Ether
"iWas really in that Travelodge"
Whole time he got an eye condition but ok i guess it's friendly competition 🤷🏻♂️
Ether is #1 all time regardless
I honestly believe that it was because super ugly was wack! It sounded horrible, had he said something like that over a takeover beat, or wasn’t as corny as it sounded. Sonics matter and NOBODY is bumping super ugly! It was a wack song, it wasn’t really about the card, but the delivery!
I like Jay-Z Blueprint 2 song better than takeover I like Nas the last real alive better than ether to me because I feel like they went bar for bar the second round is always been my favorite when it comes between them two that's my opinion ether got overplayed takeover got overplayed to me
Competition is an element of hip hop but it is not the totality of it
Pusha T for the third spot clearly
Jay may not have rapped on ether, but he did admit defeat, and he apologized for raps. These rappers taking the wrong cues lol.
U know outta this whole panel ot had to be 1 50 cent drider
Cant Joyner Lucas be a candidate for replacing J.Cole for the big 3 spot? 😅
Joyner goes double wood every release and is nowhere near cole in terms of skill.
As Mal would say “too many words”
Tyler the Creator ❤forsure
You Biggie and he Puffy ...ewwwwwwwwwww
Mase's list is a joke! C'mon, son!
Y’all don’t nothing about hip hop
Cry more
DRE DAY DIDN'T GET A MENTION 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 THE VIDEO ITSELF WAS WORTHY OF A MOMENT..... NY BIASED
If 4 men say it’s their personal lists, and also say add your list in the comments, then why tf are you complaining instead of adding YOUR list?
@@TheRapRoundtable I heard that part in the beginning 😂🤣 don't get upset at someone else opinion fellas? The issue is your subscribers listen to your opinion and give it credibility, if the entire table and list puts drake and push in the conversation and doesn't mention a HUGE part of Rap history in BATTLES then yes I am correct. Too much champagne and cocaine, Not enough perspective into real beef. You asked for the Truth and didn't mention Beans🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
You said all of this, listened to guys give their lists, complained some more, and still haven’t given a list. Kinda crazy. The segment was about their personal 5’s so why are they obligated to give a history lesson in a segment about opinions? In the very beginning it was said that this is NOT the definitive 5, it’s a personal 5.
@@TheRapRoundtable You can't be upset with an opinion if opinions are clearly acceptable 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤡. In my opinion, the base of the POD is reflective and evolving. If it is grouped together around Drake and Push then obviously missing out on the mention of the ERA were Beans and Kiss beefed. ROC VS. RUFF RIDER also plays a role in why we all have feelings towards J Cole apologizing. The platform speaks from Respect to the Golden Era and that was it!! WE EXPECT MORE.... Don't be upset, bcus I will keep supporting but accept the L. THE Pod was centered around Drake/Push beef and excluded some of the most important rap Beef that made us all have a STANDARD 🤷🏿♂️
5. DRE DAY- N.I.L. before the NCAA. we used to watch videos.
4. Kiss over the Sisqo beat- J vs. X/ D.Block vs. State P/ The most influential Labels in that moment
3. No Vaseline - Icon vs. Iconic. We cannot write history of Rap or rap beef without Cube vs. NWA
2. Hit em up- Biggie and Pac died. The video plus the most disrespectful diss ever. RIP to both!!! A video with parody and a Jr. Mafia/ Lil Kim diss, Faith get in here too😂
1. Ether!!! -Whose the best MC's??? Biggie, Jay Z, and .... ITS JUST BIG ME!!!!✌🏿💯
Shout out to Deeny for adding some substance to the episode taking Gibbs. I don't agree, but I appreciate the effort. Remove the biased views and the conversation gets better 🤷🏿♂️
The outlaws stopped hit em up from being top 5
🫡
Recently bias is crazy.... TOO MUCH DRAKE AND PUSHA
Love yall show but yall bugging
About what specifically?
@TheRapRoundtable the way yall make excuses for Jay you say he lost, but got every Possible excuse for him.. he lost there is no other way to explain it! NAS WON! let it go lol, but yall dope I'm tuned in respect!!
Sam, you described the literal opposite of what we discussed. Appreciate you locking in with the show but as what point did we talk about who “won” or “lost”? Be truthful when you respond too. Jarv spoke about Jay-Z never apologizing to Nas in response to a comment someone else made. At no point did anyone try to spin or change history. Like for you to respond something nobody said or implied is wild gang. Just because it’s not what you want to hear doesn’t mean you flip the narrative into something we didn’t do
Pusha t was always better than cole and his albums way better
You lost your mind my nigga 😂😂
Pusha ain’t got an album better than born sinner
Nah!
Daytona @@willardweston8984
He has no hits though
Future replaced JCole. Duh 🤷🏽♂️
1. NAS Ether. 2. Beanie Sigel Put ya hands up freestyle. 3. Jay Z Takeover . 4. Dj QUIK Dollaz and Sense. 5. The Game 300 bars and running. 6. 2pac Hit em Up. 7. The Game Pest control. 8. 50 cent Back down
9.Pusha T Story of Adidon. 10. Common The Bitch in you
