Glad you like it - plenty of NRL fans love the NFL-very similar sports. By pick six do you mean intercept? Because really exciting moment in both sports when the momentum just changes. Or does pick six mean 1 smart player predicting where the ball is going?

@@carntspell We sometimes call interceptions "picks," I have no idea why. Since touchdowns are worth 6, we call an interception returned for a touchdown a "pick 6." I modified it to "pick 4" for the different scoring in the NRL.

First time ever I was disgusted with some the ref calls in a GF. I felt like walking away. Some of his penalties, game stoppage ruined the game. Congrats to the Storm

Melbourne Storm got me into League many years back. Have been very lucky to enjoy the 4 premierships. They are rare and don't come easy. Look at the Melbourne Demons, been waiting 56 years.

This was the beginning of the Panthers dynasty. They almost had to lose this in order to begin their subsequent domination. They even pulled off the comeback they failed to perform here, in the 2023 win over the Broncos. Never count this champion team out.

I watch the game last night and I what for panthers
Storms would have won anyway but the referee system is just useless. There definitely needs to be a fair and equitable system the ensures the best team wins. I'd say almost 80 percent of all nrl games won or lost this season was because of the referee. A large portion of them wrong calls but everyone pretends that nothing is wrong. Definitely, the system has to be reformed to a more efficient one.
Storm are simply the most efficient at exploiting this referee system in the game. They are absolutely ruthless and they showed Panthers on grand final night. It was like watching men against boys. Panthers were never going to win that game.

@@notjelena Yep it's true. The best team is the one that can exploit the system the most and ATM it's Pen RIFF. It comes down to who can get away with the most. For the storm it was wrestling and it worked for a while. It's why coaches are paid the big bucks cos the best of them understand the game way way better than us mere mortals.

Clearly dont know the rules, storm lost 2 players, lost the penalty count, 6 again count and awarded the most obvious no try of the year. 30 more seconds they lose that game entirely and it all came from an obvious obstruction call.

Silly technical rulings were never missed when they happened to the panthers. First points penalty try, two penalty goals, intercept. Vuna valu raises the leg and kicks a guy out the way to secure a ball. Melbourne are a protected species.
Vunavalu jumped for the ball he didn't mean to kick a player out of the play.

It was in the act of contesting for the ball. His eyes were only focused on the ball and not the play. Believe it. The referree saw it and interpreted it as Vunavalu going for the ball and the heat up was just accidental.

How about the try Brian To'o put? Isiah Yeo was clearly runned behind Kurt Capewell and that's clear obstruction. So the scoreline would have been 26 - 16

Penrith deserved the final and they have proved that in the 27th minute of the second half but the referee was biased towards Melbourne Storm.
So true, the 1st half the refs were so harsh on the panthers, in my eyes it wasn't a penalty try, the player is defending his line, it happens in every game, Melbourne just loose carried. And the trys which panthers got denied in the first half, were 100% trys, and would have stood as a try in any other rugby league game, . I think the refs were favouring the storm knowing it would have been an Australian legend Cameron smiths last game and wanted him to have a fairy tale ending on his career.

@@bigtimemikey The panthers were beat right before the get go. Here in Aus people can tell a pretender from a mile away. I knew storm had panthers measure, How? the weather. I knew this wasn't panther weather especially with the young nervous kids they got. Knew they were doomed.
Ye bro i also saw the ref extended his leg illegally to stop a try, also when the ref passed the ball off the ground when his arm had touched the ground, when the ref passed the ball for a full field interception, also when the ref blatantly knocked the ball out of Smiths hands, loved it when the ref didnt tackle papenhyzen for a full length try, also when the ref dropped the ball about 60 times. The ref did everything in his power to get panthers home, including, the most obvious no try of the year, 2 sin bins, one of them being extremely soft, as well as letting panthers win the penalty count and 6 again count. Brain dead.
