As a game dev who has worked with node graphs A LOT with substance designer and shaders, I can confirm that they did a pretty top notch job with this game. Kinda seems like a pet project that got a little out of hand and turned into a video game. Which is a pretty cool origin story for a game.
Oh my god! This game looks absolutely amazing already! The drag and drop programming style is my personal favourite. I can never seem to remember the differant syntax for the multiple languages I studied. so having something that is uniform and not reliant on unique syntax is sooo much easier in my opinion. I can't wait to see the full release, I only hope there is like a resource system in place because I don't imagine the tools are going to be free to place down. But that might bring with it the complexity of making mining or resource harvesting devices that you program to feed the ever growing need for technology!
That pong thing was really cool. I got into Unreal Blueprints recently and it looks like they've managed to bring node based coding into a game format to code games within the game. Very meta, that's really funny. I can only imagine how much coding would have to go into not only putting node coding into a game, but keeping it fun. Love it.
This looks amazing. Can't wait to give the demo a try later then buy the full game next year. Fingers crossed you get an early key so we can see more of it sooner

I would honestly LOVE every new game to incorporate "Streamer Mode" in their games, like at 3:52, to MAKE you focus. So, every streamer has no choice but to actually pay attention with their squirrel brains and do the things. :P

As a programmer I really hope they create a Turing complete node system to unlock endless programming possibilities for this stuff. It could easily become the most complex builder of all time.
People can build working computers in Minecraft that's not built with the intent to be able to build computers... Now they give people a game that has everyhing modular, programmable, changeable... Game devs man... 👏👏👏👏👏
if you can figure out how to do programing where if you tilt the stick it moves but if you stop then it will stop in place ( memory of the last spot it was in) and even reset position i'd love to hear if from you in a video ( however short it is, if you ever get around to it )
What I want to know if other things like that piston could click other buttons so you could have a button that makes this whole machine maybe consisting of different machines that raps back around just to press the button and reset everything back
Right the programming side could always reset it self but just to take the long way around kinda like piston doors in mincraft make only the programming just move it

This game is going to AMAZING for kids. I would've killed for this when I was 12. Great for learning programming in a fun way.

Absolutely possible, however that function is built into the coding already. It is called Loop.
