“I’m slightly confused what I’m listening to rhythmically” That sounds about right. 😂
They perform these songs pretty flawless live. No easy feat for sure.
“Falling isn’t flying. Floating isn’t infinite.” Gives me chills every time.
Favorite band, favorite song, favorite reactor! Love y’all! 💨🥦🌀😎 Thank you!
Pure wizardry at its finest. This album is an epic masterpiece! Watching this live is an experience like no other!
Fear innoculum isn't my favorite song but seeing Maynard in front of that backdrop when they opened with it was surreal.
@@SquakesMahoneyThat song is special live. Not my fav on album but live it hits different.
Great reaction! Yes, let's listen to all the Tool!!
Chocolate Chip is a solo piece by Danny. Also, the title track is a nice listen. Hi, Shecky. Hi, Dave. :) :) :)
This, right here, IS, an epic piece. Thank you for your submission.
When the lyrics end, there is a vacuum for about 3 seconds until the drums and guitar fill back in. Its their masterpiece. Until I listen to another Tool song. Then thats the next masterpiece.
Dave is the best.
Holy shit you have got to explore more Tool. You wont be disappointed
I love your comments! The most unique, funny and down to earth!
Aldous Huxley wrote a book in 1923 called Antic Hay. It contains a paragraph, thereafter I feel like Maynard was inspired for the title of their longest track on this album;
"Seven million people, each one of whom thinks himself quite as important as each of us does. Millions of them are now sleeping in an empested atmosphere"
(Seven empest)
Never been a huge Tool fan but I completely dig this song. Great stuff all the way through. Thanks for this guys.
Oh yeah! You gonna feel this one!
Love the Black Sabbath call out. Very nice.
Been waiting for this one from you brother, Great analysis!
i am autistic (at the very least)... I loved!! your video.. thankee
SAME! Nice to know there are others:)
🤘🏻🌀
You should react to TOOLs no quarter cover
Hi there! Dave has reacted to that one: czcams.com/video/IBytf0xF9gQ/video.html Enjoy!
Art like this is exactly why I don't enjoy music from any other band the same way I do with Tool. Tool Fucking Tool.
Now you've got me thinking about what an actual TOOL + Tangerine Dream collaboration would have generated. Descending may be my favorite TOOL song, but it's really hard to pick a favorite. The lyrics/meaning behind Descending really speaks to some of the hopelessness I feel about humanity and what awaits us.
"Nice drumming." Yea.
Also CCT and Mockingbeat are just Danny Carey messing around with drums and weird sounds. I saw them live this year again and DC played it live. It was awesome but not sure they are great reaction songs.
The wave sounds were recorded from Danny Carey's house in Malibu.
Yeah. The lyrics of this song are amazing and relevant, so...terrifying.
15:04 - Yeah, Tool's like the LTJ Bukem of rock as far as release time.
tool's too cool for school. that's why they came up with their own equations.
17:46 🤣
tool i have many albums ,they got the idea due to they love pink floyd who inspired them.
Trying to keep up with time signatures with Tool is a fool’s errand. There really isn’t a bad song on this album… but that’s why it took 12 years. In no particular order, I prefer Pneuma, invincible and 7empest.
It really takes the sun 7 years to rotate around our flat earth. Thus the “7”.
if that time sig is confusing, try jambi.
speaking of tool, wanna do Hollow Cores cover of “Sober” 👀
I've seen that they did that, and I've also seen your suggestions for that one. I think Dave thinks so highly of the players in Tool that any cover might be met with a bit of ... crankiness. So I'm going to hold off on that for now.
Fucking epic for sure. Tool=goat
Danny Carey is the best drummer out there.
Should have played the video for pnuema that just shows Danny.
I'm one of those mentally ill people who scours the web looking for people listening to TOOL for the first time. I don't know why I do it... I just know that I like it and that, judging by the numbers, I'm not alone at all. I must say that you are absolutely among my favourites: very nice, with good taste and with a great competence in the musical field which is perceived even if it is not flaunted talking about technicalities. The format you gave to the thing is also particular. Well done!
Almost like chasing the dragon...you are not alone lol
I feel seen
Watching people react to Tool is definitely a habit and I am definitely a junkie lol.
I enjoy knowing what they are about to hear is amazing.
Right there with yah man
