I don’t think that’s an entirely truthful way of looking at it, Rice had talent but he got more out of it than anyone and put in more work, focus, and intention than any of his competition. Give an average joe the qualities and actions that Jerry Rice did and they can be a decent NFL player. NBA might a bit different since height is so critical
