Honestly it chilled me when Berrynose died. I don't think people realize Berrynose was loyal to "Bramblestar" because he was his mentor. Mentors have a wide effect on their Apprentices and all Berrynose wanted to be was loyal.

Anyone else find the fact that Tawnypelt named her son Tigerkit as insensitive? Like she spent her whole life not wanting to be compared to her father only to name her son something directly tied to him. Then on top of that actively does something to put him into power for really no reason... Also completely agree with the comments saying she killed Berrynose for also no reason. I really dislike that her character recently has just been used to further the plot/story :/

That has always left me confuse- Tawnypelt I love you as a character and everything but woman *why did you name one of your sons after your father who you tried to avoid being compare to him almost your whole life* also yea her character has been feeling like off-character I don’t know if that’s the correct word, but she doesn’t feel like Tawnypelt like her character is slowly disappearing as she slowly becomes another background character, is sad to see that and something that I’m legit scare is the authors deciding to butcher her character like they did to Bramblestar character

Now that you mention it- Firestar what the actual heck- from all names that you could have named your own apprentice you went with “claw” you know *after his father who was your mortal enemy and that your apprentice has tried and proved to not be like him and didn’t liked being compare to him* you still went out your way to be like “you know? Ima named you Brambleclaw after you father Tigerstar (claw)” you could have named him “Brambleflower” after his mother Goldenflower or even “Brambleheart” after his loyalty to the clan and that his proven to be better then his fathe, or even something basic like Bramblepelt Yea I think I’m overthinking this to much aren’t I

Ohh the overly happy beginning made me suspicious that it wouldn't stay that way 😅😂 I love that you made something about Berrynose, he's so underrated! I too think your lineless style is very nice to look at. I always enjoy the switch from Berry's happy plain everyday routine as a side character to the creepy escalation with the impostor and how Berry seems kinda creeped out by him as well, even if he follows him up until his bloody death. Tawnypelt looks so cool with the solid coloured background!

I literally cannot express my love for this in words !!!!!!!!!!!! Everything about it is so nice, the storytelling, character designs, expressions, and art style!!! I’ve always thought Berrynose was such an underrated character and honestly I would have loved to see him as Berrystar one day. Sad what happened to him :((

i can't stop rewatching this your lineless style is so good and perfect for this pmv & you capture the emotion change perfectly. the designs are immaculate especially your interpretation of bramblestar/imposter his body shape is very unique compared to most fandom designs. berrynose is honestly pretty over hated he was really cute as a kit in the new prophecy & actually had personality in the books after especially the ones leading up to his death.
Going to be rewatching this all day, the lineless style is so satisfying to watch and the designs are all incredible!
Love this!! The entire style and story telling was well done, berrynose wasn't perfect but he was an interesting character who was true to himself and what he thought was right, gonna miss him!

I used to be upset that Berrynose died, but honestly? It was a really good way for him to go out, I can't imagine any death that would be more fitting for Berrynose

I love berry nose. His life was very unique and he had a rather unique personality, too. BrambleStar was his mentor, and that had a huge impact on him. Love ur art!

Honestly, Berrynose's death was unnecessary. He was killed by Tawnypelt, whom didn't want to be like Tigerstar, yet she named her son after him and then gutted Berrynose like Scourge did to Tigerstar. Berrynose was an annoying character, sure, but his presence and personality was strong and unique to me. Berrynose was loyal to Bramblestar, 1st: Brambleclaw (star), was his mentor. 2nd: Berrynose as a kit, was kinda close to him. And finally, 3rd: I feel like the reason why he didn't believe the other clans, was simply because of the bullying and that Brambleclaw (star), was his mentor. Berrynose was namecalled throughout the series, and bullied (?) by other clans when he was an apprentice. So obviously he'll stay loyal to his clan and leader, plus his mentor and a cat he knew from when he was a kit.
Oh Tawnypelt.. *sigh* you could've just slit his throat instead of litterally gutting him like Scourge.
Sorry about this rant, It's just what I think. I respect you're opinions.
this is honestly the coolest pmv ive ever seen theres just so much i love abt it. the shapes, the designs, how berrynose is set in his ways and doesnt realize how much harm he's causing until its too late
this is wonderful! the art and lines are so smooth! but Its sad what happened to berrynose. like- yeah, he was stuck-up and rude and a total show off to everyone, but his death was unnecessary. he could've been demoted from deputy and I'd be happy! He got told what happened to bramblestar, but why should he believe a group of other clans? bramble was berry's mentor, so he obviously had a connection and didn't want to betray his leader. yet tawnypelt killed him in cold blood. it felt more like just taking out a character just for a small tip in the story line, barely anything, then an actual death. they wrote him like a rag. Sorry For ranting! I just typed what I believe, and its fine if you have different opinions! ty if you took the time to read this
Berrynose did actually get demoted from deputyship, then exiled from ThunderClan because he wasn't fast enough to defend the false Bramblestar from an assassination attempt and he "didn't fight to kill, he let cats get away" according to the imposter. Makes his death sad for two reasons. One, he stayed loyal to a cat who turned his back on him. And two, Berrynose avoided killing cats in a battle (it wasn't really a battle but still) which is a good thing but Tawnypelt ends up killing him in battle which is against the code because it wasn't a self defense thing. Tawnypelt didn't need to tear open his throat and belly as the book describes her doing.

When he swiped at her with outstretched claws, she ducked underneath the blow and raked her claws across his throat and belly. Berrynose let out a shriek and collapsed, writhing."
Yeah, so Tawnypelt killed Berrynose in battle...just because. It wasn’t really a self defense thing as you can probably tell. Berrynose just swiped at Tawnypelt and she responded with tearing open his throat and belly, which is pretty unnecessary and against one of the most important rules of the code, Tawnypelt...
@Strawberry Shortcake 🍰 Well tbf in Tawny's defense Berry was warned multiple times pretty blatantly i might add not to trust and follow the imposter and was given good enough reasons that explained why Bramble went through such a drastic change in personality. So when the huge battle broke out and your not 100% sure whose on whose side and Berry chooses bramble i cant hold it against her for killing him. Did she need to kill him? No but i can't blame her (i wish she didn't tho I liked berry even if he was annoying)

Like.... shes literally the daughter of Tigerstar. The Tigerstar who brainwashed Bloodclan + half of the forest into following his every command, despite how blatantly shitty he was. He legit tried to kill innocent kits/apprentices and cats still followed his ass. How is this any different? Would it have been okay for someone to tear open her throat and gut her belly just because she followed her own father??.
Berry didnt even touch her and her first thought was to tigerstar 1.0 his ass. If we started brutally murdering cats for following the "wrong side", at least 80% of the entire cast would be dead right now, Tawnypelt included. awful inexcusable behavior. If this is how she reacts as a normal warrior i'd hate to see how she reacts at a higher rank

Berrynose didn't deserve to be killed but I also don't blame Tawnypelt too much. She could have shown mercy but it was the heat of battle, many cats were dying and the stakes were very high by this point. She couldn't afford to be as merciful as she should have been because that could have gotten her killed. At the same time, I'm not sure Berrynose would have killed her. He may have wounded her but not killed her. But if he wounded her, Ashbramblestar might have gone and finished her off I think.
