The media talking about being a contender in october is cringe as fuck, we don't pray for a tank, we will naturally tank because it's the plan of the GM, simple as that.
Max was a good guest, get him in your rotation.
you are too kind curtis, thank you!
My pleasure, you know your stuff when it comes to the Canadiens. Again, hopefully Tony brings you back on a regular basis.
If we get a Bedard/Fantilli/Michkov, of course it would be great. BUT that also means our core isn't improving very well. We will be a bottom 15 team and that's fine. Hopefully pick up another top-15 from Florida's pick and one more first rounder by trading Monahan.
Sick
for me its pretty clear that the habs organisation want to ship all the veterans player they can before the deadline. They move Slafkovsky to the Monahan line just because Armia is playing sooo bad, it reduce his value instead of increasing it.
The last two losses against lesser teams are a turning point, in my opinion: if we had the unfortunate idea of going back to the way we were before and thinking that we might have a chance to make the playoffs but to choose in the middle in the next draft, it has just ended now. Let's just tank like last year by putting all of our stars on the injured list and trading our veterans. It's boring now but better for the future.
What if tanking stunts the development of the lesser players ? ***
You're great, Tony, but please stop interrupting your guests.
We've had an easy schedule so far. Wait till January /February. We'll be bottom 5.
Edit: just heard you mention it ;)
Yeah tanking always works look at Edmonton they got the best player in the world and had how many first overall picks in a row. They still haven't won a cup. I don't get you want them to play good but not good enough to win sounds stupid.
Habs will pick 2nd and 8th. Fantilli and Dvorsky, mark it down.
You think Habs will falter all the way down to 2 from last and Florida will finnish 8th from bottom ?
Would love fantilli or Bédard then if we pick 8th Cameron Allen
E mo se tu now!
@@frenchycanopy1659 I bet Allen goes in the top 5.
Just saying.... our habs record so far is not showing the reality of things.... 22 games... 11 pts were obtain in a game that was tie after the final buzzer... 11pts in ot out of 23... 8 games against bottom teams (that's 1 out of 3) : Columbus (2) buffalo(2) Arizona Chicago Philly and San Jose... only 3 games against top teams : Toronto vegas New Jersey.... in the last 20 games of the season they will play 9 games against a top 10 team (yesterdays ranking) .... that's 1 out of 2 almost... what does that tell you... as of today they are 2 pts away from the 8th pick, 5pts away from the 5th... take away the buzzer beater goal and the opening night win and they are 5pts away from the ducks... and with a whopping 1 game out of 3 against a bottom team...those ot pts are the difference between this ranking and last place... those 11 ot pts would not all be there with a harder schedule...
