Compare the way Saulo does it at 0:22 to when all the guys practicing it at 1:24 and 4:18. You could step back as long as it's only a small step. The important thing is not to step back so far that you give them the angle to sweep you. Basically, stay "squared up" to them.
Impressive video with awesome techniques
excellent technique thank you professor Ribeiro!
I like the pass at the end with the using your knee to drive their De La Riva hook leg down to the mat to pass. We've done the rest of that technique on smashing the De La Riva that same way with Prof. Kris at RJJA Ann Arbor where I train at. He's an awesome instructor.
Exactly what I needed
Amazing lines. All quotables.
Great detail abou delariva pass!
outro nivel..oss
really nice. i thought i was the only one doing this
This could be a new technique for them or something they've had issues with, this the best time to work out the kinks and work on the movements of the technique to fully understands the mechanics. I know a lot of belt levels that seem shitty during class time but when it comes time to roll there is no wonder how good they are.
I knew what he meant and wanted but I understood confusion . Was amazed at watching brown and black belts not having the hips to naturally pressure immediately ...
Gi only problems ?
its different XD
in the second thing, he stretches (dunno if its writted right) the leg and goes back, but looking towards the other fighter. in the first, he just steps back, giving the back or the berimbolo easily :)
Should I say "Doom....Doom" before I pass...or after? Lol!
song title or music style at the begining?
what he meant was that you must be quick with the movement.
Brown belts? What about back step?)
first "stepping" back , then I don't step, "there is no such thing"? confusing, boom
baum baum..goen dat way
OSSS!
GIACOMO!
If you are the guy on bottom, how would you defend that headquarters position?
I would abandon DLR and shrimp backward and try something else... maybe start playing shin on shin. I'm just guessing, though.
Boam!!
I try to worl the reverse de la riva
boom boom,,bemm,bemm
Timing with this has to be pretty quick to make sure they don't sit up on you, huh? You're actively giving them that leg before you collapse it over their shin.
0:22 to 1:24,4:18
Yang karate cemen
MF Doom. Amazing hip hop artist
is boom, not doom...
What? He clearly stepped back earlier, then deems it an error... :/
