The best thing about the Doom/Duke Nukem plasma rifle being cheaty by just being an image shown in front of the player and being swapped out is that it's basically how it was done in those games.
The fact that the reversed rocket launcher flies out of your hands upon being fired is just that extra bit of ridiculousness that makes this such a great meme mod.
@@ShiningDarknes Oh man yeah. When I discovered the crazy marine in 343 Guilty Spark and saw him shoot himself, I both didn't expect it, but knew that I should've expected it... And broke down with both laughter and shock from it all, haha.

This is amazing, I am so grateful that in 2019, there are still people so passionate about a game as old as Halo CE, and that we can explore the limits of game design through these really silly mods.
Now I actually want an inner ring map where the ''gravity'' adjusts to your position, I can only imagine Halo would not be able to handle so much as dividing it up into a simple hexagon with only 6 different local gravities, but this is actually a really cool concept. The lines of sight would just be so crazy, keeping vertical cover in mind would be weird when designing maps, potentially easier when it's based on repeating segments that all adjust as you edit. The map flow would be stiff by default (Only 2 linear overal routes), but yeet pads that effectively create a more interconnected structure could be an okay compromise.
Played the game on Legendary, and did a few hours of Multiplayer. Loved it, really like how you kept it balanced somehow the whole time, fights are brought a lot closer, and even a throwing pistol is a decent weapon. Also thanks for the based Thanos.png grenade effect.

I think "orange series" maps work aesthetically due to negative space. You get a good contrast between what is map space and what is actual architecture, and of course once you have players in it there's distinction between direction and interaction that looks very clear.
