@@jelfishery for me its the prechorus that really makes this song. overall tho, it really feels like they took a lot of the distinct elements from various songs and put it all into one song that is just so ridiculously good kid (classic feel in the verses and the chorus, darker chords in the prechorus, and the softer bit at end, and then the solo ofc)
this is my new favorate song ever, such a banger and the song progresses showing the panic of the situation he is describing. and then it all goes slow and just- its so good.

you really don't know how meaningful this song is to me. im finally quitting my toxic retail job after over 2 years and pursuing school in a field i really like. i decided to finally listen to this song as i was making my resignation letter and hearing the lyrics brought me to tears. This song really sums up everything i have been feeling. from the anxiety i have been feeling to leave two years of my life behind and having everything i know change in a short period of time. i have struggled to sleep and eat from all the change and the pacing backward and forward on if i should just not resign and let myself rot or continue doing the right thing. this whole song sums up my experience in one place and it makes me feel so much less alone.
i have been a fan of your work for years and this really just amplifies my support. thank you

With Goodkid I've realised that the first time you hear a song of theirs it sounds a bit crazy and disjointed, but as soon as you listen a couple of times and learn the rhythms, they all invariably become the best thing you've ever heard.
That is literally exactly how I’ve felt about all their songs they all grow on you over time except Mimi’s Delivery Service which just hit immediately from the start
exactly how it happened to me with EP 2 and half EP3, but the first EP and how I met good kid literally 1 minute in with nomu and fell in love with the band, each song truly is an experience

Bubbly may just be one of my favourites, if not even my number one. I really love how the melody goes⬇️⬇️⬇️ then⬆️⬆️⬆️ in from the "yeah, I said that I" to the "I never sleep part" (it sounds so... unique??? Like the energy it gives), how every line connects the pre chorus, chorus and other lines fluidly and perfectly to make one whole song, the erratic pacing and bustly Energy overal, how it all adds up to make a song that sounds so classicly Good Kid but so different and colorful, with every part I love so damn much.
I know next to nothing about music if you can tell, but damn. What can a girl do except try anyway to give the best compliment she can.

I may have only been around since the Good Kid 2 EP, but I feel like I've watched them grow for so long. I hope every day you guys make it further and further.
