I love my country 🇮🇹❤️
I will forever be in love with Italy.. ❤💚❤
Love to Italy from 🇩🇪👍
hello dear
Italy is beautiful top to bottom❤️❤️❤️
My husband is from Italy. From Puglia. There are so nice places. Sorry for my English
I Love Italy. And San Gimignano is just amazing! ❤️
I agree! 😅
I'm italian thank you for sharing this video and thank you to the appreciating comments😍❤️
You guys have the most beautiful country on earth it's literally heaven on earth ❤️
@@cazwalt9013 where are you from ?
San Gimignano is stunning! The whole Tuscan region is incredible, we hope to be back there within the next year during our Italian road trip 😅🇮🇹
You should visit Puglia🥰
corect
don't forget Volterra (but probably you know that...)
I'm from Scicli, so cool to get my town featured
Oh....! Itly..... My dream country 🇧🇩❤️🇮🇹
🇮🇹 is amazing and stunning...
So beautiful town Italy
Italy is beautiful! My last visit was in the north, Aosta, Cervinia and the Alps. Amazing.
I live there lol
correct
Very nice video with amazing locations!
I am very blessed. I lived 4 years in Italy. I have been to three of the towns in the video. Thank you so much for the video. It brought tears to my eyes. Look forward to your other video. God Bless!!
"Italy is proof that life is not fair."
So much stunning beauty.
We took a day trip while in Stressa to a tiny fairytale village called Oria. I could live the rest of my days there! Such peace and beauty.
yes
It’s my dream to visit Italy
There are so many nice placesin Italy. But in Italy it doesn`t matter where you are. Just blend with people on any central place and after a while you just don’t want to quit anymore.
Proud to be Italian 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
A very nice selection of locations that are not the usual Rome-Florence-Venice. Actually Italy is plenty of unique and interesting towns or villages.

San Gimignano, stayed at the Leon Bianco. San G was our "home base." The Tuscan area and smalls town is what Italy is all about. It helps me being Italian! Cooking classes, the Verrazzano Winery, the whole area from Florence to Cinque Terre. Sorrento stayed at the Grand Hotel Capodimonte and used as our base, Capri and down the coast. Rome stayed at Casa Salvatoriani right there, main road leading to the steps of St Peters. Just walked out the front door look right and there it is. What a sight. It used to be where priests stayed when working at the Vatican. We ate and went to non tourist places. Look for restaurants that do not have menus in 3 or four languages, only Italian. Mingled with the people the whole trip. Three weeks three hotels. My girlfriends first trip. I feel at home being Italian. Did not look relatives up this time, my parents and grandparents have passed. Stayed with my grandfathers brother many years ago where he was born. Plan to go again next year and do the small towns only. For first timers there are must places to see.
We spent a month in spello 10 years ago and had a great time. The highlight was the infiorata where petals are used to make incredible designs and pictures that line the streets. I wish I could post photos on here to show what I mean 🤣. We never got bored (Italian friends looked so puzzled when we told them we were staying there a month!!) - every day wandering the little streets, seeing the sun hit different spots, every day we saw something new. Great base to explore the area too. It was a magical month and very hard to leave.
great
My first trip to Italy in 2016, my sister and I hit San Gimignano for a couple of hours on a vineyard tour day. We loved it so much, we made a point of staying there overnight on our trip in 2018, renting a car and driving from Florence. We loved it even more that time! When the buses are gone for the day, and the town settles in, it's stunning.
Your other suggestions are gorgeous, too. I'll have to hit a couple of them once I can get to Italy again. Thanks for the video! Loved it!
Driving from Florence is always a fun idea
@@LifestyleHal it was a bit intimidating at first, and the road signs are not good, but it was still so much fun and a great way to see the country. And San Gimignano at night is stunning.
@@musingsatmidlife5278 hello dear
Just found you on CZcams, Italy is my favourite country to visit, I love Puglia, I really enjoyed your film and may I say you have a very nice soothing voice to listen to.
I appreciate that thank you
I heard a lot about Puglia, what’s the highlights of that town ?
@@susykings3343 Puglia is a region, not a town. I don't live there but as Italian I know there is a lovely food there, a wonderful sea and welcoming atmosphere and people. You would like it
Thanks for remembering about my city, Salerno ;)
Grande! Like for you, because you show Lake Maggiore and not Como. Expert of hidden places.
You have not only shown my home town, Salerno, which never comes up when talking about visiting Italy, but you have actually shown my neighborhood "Torrione". The name comes from the castle in your video, in actuality more akin to a big tower, from which "Torrione" (big tower in Italian, the real name is "La Carnale"). Thanks!
How lucky you are to be living in such a beautiful area. I envy you . !!
@@sunnydaze2359 Thanks!
I love Italy ❤️I love Sardinia ❤️
Many thanks. I had the joy of staying in Spello two years ago and it is a place of complete delight.
It’s a great town to wander around 👌🏾😎
Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you. I have visted so many of the large cities. These towns are gorgeous. Thank you so much for the introductions!!!!
Itália is so beautiful!!! I’ll visit there as soon as possible
Me too
So nice vidio
You do such a beautiful work.Thank you for your inspiration, photography and beautiful descriptions. Keep exploring!
That was so delightful!
Wow! This is really an off the beaten path list. It’s a good alternative to the busier more popular Italian destinations. I’m saving this for future reference for when we can travel again.
Thank you for this!
Polignano is amazing - I even remember this balcony at 06:19 :D will have to come back to visit the restaurant!
Nice video and agree with Pienza, and thank you for not mentioning Piemonte. After doing the major must see tourist sites, we repeat visit Biella, Asti, Alba, Bra, Barolo, Cuneo, even Muzzano (waiter said we're the 3rd Americans he's met). Alps surround you with distant vistas, rolling Langhe country rivals Tuscany views. Shhh...don't tell others. :):)
Hi I would like to thank you for mentioning one the area, which I hold dear ever since I was born. As for wines, I think it's very difficult to me to pick a specific one. Those sites are undoubtedly still a bit overshadowed by other beautiful places around Italy. However, I guess they are worth a visit. Greetings from Bra, Piedmont!
Adding a location map would be helpful. Love Italia. People , food wine , the very air is the best. Hope to return soon.
Good point. Maps would be helpful, especially those that highlight the province & the town. Ex - Spello (town) in Umbria province.
Wonderful idea..
yes yes watch here also czcams.com/video/1QOyMjZyels/video.html
Very well done, Hal. It is great that you are bringing to light some lesser known but wonderful towns. All of your choices were spot on. I live in Umbria, near Spello, and it truly is a hidden gem. Also, don't worry about the pronunciation police. You're not Italian and are free to pronounce our words as best you can. Please keep up the good work.
I'm going to backpack around Italy for 6 months starting September. Got any more hidden gems I should look at?
@@apep7188 I'd reccomend Monselice and Bassano del Grappa in Veneto, Varallo Sesia in Piemonte, Vigevano, Bergamo, Brescia, Piacenza, Cremona, Fidenza and Certosa di Pavia in Lombardia, Perugia, Spoleto, Todi, Ferentillo in Umbria, Tarquinia, Cerveteri and Viterbo in Lazio, Paestum, Amalfi and Ravello in Campania, Taormina, Noto and Caltagirone in Sicily.
@@fox570808 Try Cefalu in Sicily, I have never been there but it looks stunning.
@@JJ-bs5bo I've been there. Very nice place and view from Rocca di Cefalu is marvelous.
yes there is more here czcams.com/video/1QOyMjZyels/video.html
Great job dude, I've been looking for more off-the-beaten-track places and you nailed it. Short and sweet with some really great shots from your drone and your camera. Well done!
Venice is beautiful, I love its canals! I was there 3times already
Wonderful video and guide. We have now added to our future itinerary!
Thank you, this is a great video, thank you for sharing!!
WoW wonderful
Baveno is the twin town of my village Nadur in Gozo, Malta :-)
hello beautiful like Italy 🎻❤️💓
Nice video
9:00 Chioggia is pronounced "Kioggia"
For our journey from Rome to Civitavecchia, we took a tour in a van and visited Bracciano and Ceri on the way. It was a wonderful time, and so much better than being on a train or bus. Highly
yes! Bracciano is beautiful... we did a virtual walk there!

Amazing towns I never heard of. Thx 🙏🏻
Nice list! There are som many places... A must for me is Tropea in Calabria 💯
Andate dove volete in Italia, che tanto è bello dappertutto
Beautiful Italy
Thanks so much for this; very informative, even if you have been to Italy many times!
Thanks to showing the beauty of my country!!!!

Hey Lifestyle Hal! Greetings from Mexico🇲🇽 We recently relocated to Mexico and are loving your channel. We are enjoying the lovely weather to say the least. 🏖 We just subscribed to your channel for more amazing content! ❤️
Wow, thank you Hal.
This is great :) Thanks for sharing. Cheers, new subscriber from Italy! :)
Io vivo a Verona bellissima città! Visitate Lazise, Garda, Malcesine... ma tutta l’Italia è bellissima!!!
Thanks for including my 2 favorites, Spello & Camogli. How about another list? The beautiful Noli, Volterra, Varenna, Sorano, Bagnone, Fosdinovo, so many others.
I will take a look at these suggestions 😎 for the next vid
Ray, I’m impressed that you know Fosdinovo! My father in law lives there. What about Sarzana? It’s only 10/15 minutes drive from Fosdinovo. Sarzana is in Liguria, Fosdinovo in Tuscany.
Very good
There are literally hundreds, perhaps thousands of them, one every mile sometimes it seems. I agree with the suggestions below (Cittadella, Castelfranco del Veneto, etc.) but would add Portogruaro (also in the Veneto), Cividale di Friuli, in Puglia Castel Sant'Angelo, Ostuni, Giovinazzo, Martina Franca, Lecce, Otranto, Ruvo di Puglia, Orvieto and Perugia in Umbria, Urbino in the Marche, Canobbio in Lombardy, the list goes on and on and on, way too many to mention. Oh, and don't get me started about the food: the best in the world. Never, ever have I had a bad meal in Italy (in France, at least 50% of the time...).
Canobbio is in Piemonte, in Lombardy there is Cernobbio 😉
Thanks...
Yay! Beautiful Giovinazzo... where my grandparents are from. Thank you!
In Lazio near Rome, I can recommend Civita di Bagnoregio. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civita_di_Bagnoregio
If you've never had a bad meal in Italy, you should eat close to the main sights in Rome.
Thank you for this interesting video. I heard some places for the first time. Italy has a lot to offer to the tourists.
And there are literally HUNDREDS of more beautiful towns and villages
Good job. Unfortunately even as Italian that live near Parma, I missed a lot of gems, unfortunately. I wish I could visit all this town. I love the beauty of my country but for a reason or another, I can't travel just like I would
this was such a good video! i thoroughly enjoyed it and learned lots of new places i want to visit. thank you for posting. hello from the usa.
I am really loving your videos. 😊
I love this from Tanzania
Great video. Although some of the towns on your list are very touristy they are certainly worth visiting!
Italy is super popular anyway it’s difficult to deny a tourist to enjoy certain places. I’m sure they can venture off somewhere later
Bellissimo video grazie, i appreciate that you have chosen small towns and not the classic tourist destination!!! You have traveled a lot, i live in Italy and i have not been able to see all the places. I'll leave as soon as possible 🤗
Yes alottttttttt ! Way before my channel started - well once you have the time or money - I am sure Italy is waiting for u

The five lands:
- Monterosso
- Vernazza
- Corniglia
- Manarola
- Riomaggiore

Most are except San Gimignano and Alberobello, which experience crowds of tourists, especially day trippers, so have always found it best to stay in them, enjoy more in the evening once day trippers have left.
Kudos for adding Salerno, it's a great starting point for visiting all the cool places of the region, you forgot to mention that you can also use Salerno for visiting the ancient greek settlement of Paestum. Salerno is the place to chill out in the evening and has many nice attractions of it's own!
Love from Pakistan soon be there to continue my studies because I have got admission for further studies. hope in Sept 2021 I will visit these beautiful and alluring places of Italy.

@@goldenapplegardens2988 What you want to say?
So many beautiful places to visit, unfortunately do to government restriction regarding covid, nothing is open... Italy was, is and always will be one of the most beautiful country in the planet. It's so sad to think that people destroyed it.. However, thank you for bringing back memories of my youth.. I appreciate it!
I live near Baveno, was surprised to see it on the list!
Thank you for your beautiful list and for not killing the towns' names , really appreciate the effort and the respect that this means 😁
I tried - I hope it wasn’t too painful
@@LifestyleHal No mate, it was almost perfect, great job 👍
I come from a town just around the corner from Salerno, Castellamarre di Stabia. It's amazing how some of these Mediterranean countries could have hundreds of awesome villages. And not just Italy, France, Albania, Greece, and so on. The big cities are nice, but when I travel, I often visit these villages
France is trash
Rebels!! Pienza is my favourite so far after a trip several years ago.. hopefully il get to discover a more hidden town one day. Part 2 coming next month😎👌🏾
Have You seen Rasiglia??? Or maybe Slunj on Crotia ?
My last trip I spent two months driving around visiting beautiful, least touristy towns and villages in central and southern Italy as well as Sicily. Here's some that I enjoyed:
Cingoli, Marches
Citta Sant'Angelo, Abruzzo
Agnone and Bagnoli del Trigno, Molise
Bovino and Cisternino, Puglia
Rotonda, Basilicata
Morano Calabro, Saracena, Altomonte and Bova, Calabria
Chiaramonte Gulfi and Sciacca, Sicily
I live near Pienza... 😊

I have visited 5 times but from this list I have only seen Salerno. These other little towns looks very beautiful. I went to Vernazza in Cinque Terre though.
I've lived in Italy for a long time, very good memories... Your list is very good. Of course this list is personal, still I would've loved to see Perugia in it. :)

Really well narrated.
Yes, fantastically narrated! Any towns in the Dolomites?

Just wanted to say three things. I didn’t know abt Chioggia and will definitely visit. Pienza is by far the most beautiful town I have ever seen. San Gimignano is a hell hole.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Definitely adding many of these beautiful places to my bucket list thank you for an amazing video

Great video, as the other ones I've seen from you: though I knew many of the places (and I have actually been in a few of them) I leraned about a couple I didn't know (Scigli) or didn't imagine were so good (Salerno).
Just a very minor correction: unlike Spanish, in Italian "ch" reads like "k", so you should read "Kioggia".
Oh, and I loved that "I put a Speelo'n you" :)
I'm italian and I have only visited S. Gimignano among these :o
Thanks
Hello, your video landscape is very beautiful, I made a video related to the landscape like you, but I really love that landscape in your video
The 'g' in the middle of Italian words is silent. The double g. is pronounced like a j. The c. in Scicli is also silent. Thank you for this vid!
