The fastest way to defeat this is using full range of motion through the ankle, knee and hip. And you don’t have to stop playing or jumping. I’ve had athletes say their pain is gone literally in one workout. The LONGEST it’s EVER taken one of my athletes is 2 weeks. Read my whole article on jumper’s knee here: www.gephartstrength.com/single-post/2019/12/19/How-To-Eliminate-Jumpers-Knee-With-This-One-Exercise And try this front foot elevated split squat and watch how your knees heal and get stronger! czcams.com/video/CTCRK8G34fo/video.html

I ended up jumping without knee pain for the first time in a long time and could do dunks like the back scratcher on a 10 foot rim where as I before that could barely even dunk on it because of the knee pain.

do you have advice/experience with athletes that had knee surgery (ACL+meniscus).
Because i had a surgery (3 years ago). Now my knee isn't the same (obviously). But it feels like i can't activate the correct muscle patterns wich leads to a feeling of instability and pain. I really think that a not optimal working nerve is the cause. It's hard to properly activate my VMO and even harder to creat a stable foot arch. The correct activation pattern should be subconsciously but it isn't.

He is generaly talking about tendinopathy ...knee pain could be from other pathologys and he is right abou load managing. And yes first isometric training load managing and slowly making the tendon to adjust to that load and slowly working on coming to jumping. You cant heal tendon itself its pathology for life but you can make it to adjust to the load and be pain free... good protocol for patella tendon is start half squat of 70 proc of your 100 do 5 times 45 sec and then yoi sould be pain free for your workout strengthening other muscle .

Hi from New Zealand :) 7 Years of Patelar Tendonitis in both knees, started off as a small pinch but turned into a vicious pain/hate cycle which spiraled into Chronic Pain all over the body 24 / 7.
1 / Mindfulness Mediation was able to cure the Chronic Body pain (Mental work is huge, and it is important not to hate the Knee Pain)
2 / CBD oil to relax my knees as I start to strengthen.
3 / Now learning from Isiah dunk videos so I can absolutely slam it over anyone (im 6'4 with long ass shoulders and i cant even dunk leleleleleel)
