Godzilla Battle Line: Destoroyah Ranked Matches

- Strap yourselves in, cause I'm finna go on a rant about Destoroyah. I was so hyped when Destoroyah was confirmed for the game. He's my favorite villain monster, and even after seeing gameplay of him and how shitty he looked I still had a bit of hope left that he could be decent in the right situation. Now that I finally have him...No. Just no. He's dogshit. He has a 3 stage evolution, just like Shin but much harder. Aggregate, Flying, and Final. Aggregate is a suicidal little idiot that runs into battle. His walk speed is way too damn fast for an evolution unit and he'll usually pass by whatever unit you try to put in front of him, so there's no hope for him to survive unless he's in water. Spacegodzilla is good at helping Aggregate evolve though because the crystals block him. His Flying form is a better fighter but probably harder to evolve cause he can't be stalled in water. He's 5 cost now instead of 3 but sort of lacking in stats and still moves way too fast. The full evolution is stupidly difficult. Fully evolving Dest without him dying once is almost impossible but I did manage to do it once. You have to hope your opponent ignores him, but if they're actually trying to kill your Dest, he'll never evolve. Just never. At that point, you'd be better off just pocketing him the rest of the match and saving your energy rather than trying. If you actually manage to evolve him twice you'll be baffled at how lackluster Destoroyah's final form is. He's just a big slow 7 cost single target attacker with a lame gimmick. His stats aren't even that crazy, a little weaker than G54. On death Destoroyah splits into 5 Destoroyah Larva, whose level depend on your 4 star Destoroyah, not the 2 star ones. At 10 they're pitifully weak and don't contribute anything to the battle. They'll usually get swept away by aoe, or can even work against you by giving your opponent a chance to stall and make a big push.
There are so many things wrong with Destoroyah it's not even funny. What I hate most about him is his single target. He should've used his horn to attack with aoe so he could slice up groups of enemies, but no, just another boring little single target lazer beam like Shin and so many other characters. Why would you ever use him over other good 4 stars? The evolution is ridiculous and what you get out of it isn't worth it at all. There are units that only evolve once and are better in almost every way. Battra has one of the easiest evolutions and he's also the best unit in the game, there is no reason to use Dest over him. Who do they have testing this game's new characters? Are they even rank 65? Did they even download the game? Clearly they don't know what the meta is like. Dest needs some serious buffs or a full on rework. He should be broken with an evolution this hard, like, able to solo a push kinda broken. It's sad honestly how weak he is. Same with Shin. I hope they get fixed, these are two of the most powerful monsters in canon, but in this game they're a complete joke.
There's also a visual bug when Destoroyah evolves. Sometimes his hp appears to be restored when he evolves when it actually isn't. The next hit he takes will bring it back to what it was making it look like he just took an insane hit. Maybe they will fix this bug and make him actually heal every time he evolves, but I don't think even that will make him viable. The Final form is still gonna be shit. I would much rather they buff his final form to be broken and have a hard evolution, than have a easy evolution and a mediocre final form. Hopefully I have a better time with Destoroyah as a leader cause there he seems somewhat decent. - Hry

Yeah there's not many options for Godzilla games. This one's pretty good but just needs a few big changes to become great. Flyer meta needs to go

I feel you man. Destoroyah is so garbage. He needs to be reworked/buffed ASAP. I thought he would do dmg over time since he spits/injects/is micro oxygen. For example, he shoots you and you have a little icon above your unit. They slowing start taking dmg because the micro oxygen is literally eating them from the inside out like in the movie. They can also make it so that all or most Godzilla's take more dmg from the MO2 since the first Godzilla died from the it and since Jr almost died from his first fight with Destoroyah. Both Shin and Des I think should either get instant health when evolving or regen since both have a the ability to do so.
Also is anyone else tried of the current meta or am i the only one. Cause I'm really tried of it. Biollante, Battra, Leo, Fire Rodan,MKG, Hedorah, Megaurius and Psychic Chorus. I'm a FTP player so I know I'm never going to get up there like some others but jesus christ is it a bitch and a half. I understand people want to win but damn is it annoying(5 to 10 matchs in a row I see them having the same combo of meta or something similar.) I'm in KOTM 65 so I know I'm going to fight strong players, but fuck is it brutal. I can't even use certain characters I want to use because they can't compete with the current meta. I hope the next character breaks the meta and swats all these damn bugs out of the sky. Also BUFF 4* LEADERS HP
Totally agree with all of this m8. All 4 star leaders need a stat buff and reworked abilities so that they're actually useful. That way we can see some more diverse teams out here.
@@weenee4714 It feels like I'm fighting the same person over and over again. And it's honestly getting old. That's why I stop playing ranked after I reach KOTM 65 and collect my rewards when the season ends. It feels like I reach a brick wall when I get up there.
Side note: That 04 Gigan vid you uploaded yesterday was funny as hell. Me and my bro couldn't stop laughing.
@@justzillathekingofgames6867 Aw thanks. I'm really proud of that one. But yeah hopefully we see some shift next season. Toho has asked for feedback from players on one of their recent Tweets and many players have asked for flyer nerfs and leader buffs.
