Gmunden, Traunsee, Feuerkogel Downhill 2024

Der Downhill ist Stellenweise nicht ganz ohne. Speziell wenn es Tag davor geregnet hat und die Wurzeln und Steine teils nass sind. Sehr technisch mit allem drum und dran an Steinen, Wurzeln, Absätzen usw.
Manche Sachen sind nicht mehr gut gepflegt und den Startpunkt gibt es nicht mehr wie früher.
Der untere Teil ist ganz cool mit den Kurven.
Leider hatte ich, wie schon geahnt, die falschen Reifen und ich muss not reparieren. Am Ende bin ich runter gekommen, zwar nicht so wie ich wollte aber OK.

@@userbarny6271 Wollte öfter stehen bleiben um die Stecke besser zu zeigen aber es war wirklich stellenweise recht steil und dann kommt man nicht mehr so richtig in den Fluss. Die haben einiges geändert. Es gibt den Startblock nicht mehr und das obere Teil ist bei Näss wirklich extrem gefährlich finde ich. Der untere Teil, wo ich leider einen Platten hatte wegen den falschen Reifen (was ich davor schon wusste grrr) der ist ganz cool aber auch nicht ohne bei Nässe da man sehr rutscht. Also gute Reifen, gute Bremsen dann geht das.

Did you like the sheer amount of loose rocks of all imaginable sizes this trail had to offer?
There seem to be more of them every year

@@michelwijnand6815 The first part wasn't that great. Very technical and challenging but somehow not the real thing. The second lower part was quite cool, I'll do it again.

@@Videohofer yes the first part used to be way different, with a wooden starting ramp off the concrete platform already, and then more dirt between that first part of loose rocks, but that all seems to have been washed away.
Also funny you encountered that female hiker at the lower steep part with the grass next to it, I always seem to find them there too, sometimes at the parts where you just simply can't brake to a standstill for them.
Not sure if that part is actually open for hikers too though, but it's definitely dangerous for them

The trail is maintained by locals on a voluntary basis. We are happy that the cable car has decided to continue transporting bikers. The route is brutal, which is exactly what makes it so special - congratulations if you had fun and everything went well 🙌

@@MTBTraunsee I noticed it 2 weeks ago, still an awesome trail and I will also be back for more another time!
