From factory the j37 makes more power. J35a8 makes 286 hp to the crank. The j37 from an RL makes 305 go to the crank. Full bolt ones tuned the j37 will make more.
I have the same car...rear main seal is leaking and im at 285500 miles...I want to J37 swap...where did you source you engine from and what car did it come out of?...I thought the 4th gen j37 had oil leak problems?

Actually I got the engine used locally. I built it using P2R Parts . Rattle can sprayed the engine cover myself 😉
Did you use P2R timing belt tensioner?
