  • Join along as this is the 1st year I will be farming ground under my own name and working through the struggles and learning. All is going till we run into some road blocks and slows us down. Will we complete the task at hand or will this drag on. Thanks for watching

    Just a guy here,started with a sears craftsman 12hp tractor in his moms back yard,planted different kinds of field corn, every year bigger equipment,,year after year,now he farms 2000 acres corn and soybeans,GO FOR IT,,U KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING,GOOD LUCK

      This kids an absolute clown he’s already gotten fined and barley knows how to farm hes using his dads equipment to plant grow and sell back to his dad I met the old owners years ago at a farmers market and they are the nicest genuine people and most of the stuff he’s complaining about was there before, there 3rd gen farmers and a CZcamsrs gona come and shit on them and not know how to even turn the gas in to the tracker 😂it’s ridiculous

    Working on sainthood yup all you can do is try your best. I am sure you kept your temper better then most. I know all too well how important that is.     Should have collected the scrap iron and held it hostage for the cost of disposal and time ,and see how attached he was to that equipment

    That spreader, clean it up a bit and put it on market place. If it works the Amish, and some horse farmer's use those.

    People are sad!!! But, in the long run the hard work you have put in cleaning up the field and putting gravel in the entrance will more than likely make all of your hard work pay off!!! Just keep your head high Duffy!!!! You are good people!!!

    That New Idea ground drive manure spreader is worth at least $500 as is in the Midwest. Great video of taking care of leased land.

    Just found your channel. Love watching it. Maybe you did this but if you ever get some down time, make a video on how farming in a state park works. Here in Montana we lease state land and farm it or graze it, but don' know of farming a state park. I'd love to know how many hoops to jump through that involves for you.

    You definitely have patience. I would have to clean it up as well. I think you have gave that guy enough time to get his stuff out. Technically after 30 days it's yours I believe. I know you can't really use the old manure spreader and plows, but if you was to find the right person you could sell the equipment to them. I would. That land is in better hands now.

    Looking good man someone spent a lot of money on pipe at one time. That guy was goober in the van I’m sure that trailer would still be back there if you wouldn’t have dragged it out of the woods makes you wonder what his yard looks like lol

    Look man, you're farming the way most farmers cultivate the land. You're 100% right about residential pollution. However, many farmers are utilizing cover crops to mitigate herbicide spray usage. Mechanical cultivation is also used, in some instances, to reduce chemical inputs. Cultivating grasses instead of corn reduces chemical inputs. I only expect farmers to try, i dont expect miracles.

    Here in England they cut the side/ make a door out of them speaders & put seats in them & use them for wedding Car/transport behind a classic tractor for the bride & groom. You are doing a good job there cleaning up, shame it someone else is rubbish, rent adjustment needed to pay for cleanup.

    I lock all the doors to my equipment every day and I try to not leave it on site I like it back at my yard where it’s safe and I can keep my eye on it.

    From personal experience cleaning up should definitely put you in good favor with the landowner, community and possibly future landowners in the area with land you can hopefully pick up. If you don’t already try and get at least a 5 to 10 year lease with rental price locked in because once you have everything cleaned up and grow a good crop you’ll have competition from others wanting to lease it out from under you.

    You cool cucumber with that filthy farmer. I'd told him to pack sand after that bus store he gave you. Told him hes trespassing and caught trying to break into the laoder. Plus, give me proof that it is yours. Didn't even have the respect to get out of the box van. I'm rambling now. They made me furious of how that property was left. You doing the hard work to clean it up. Then 23 days later that fool shows up.

    Put it along side the road take a photo and load it up on a trailer and take it to the scrapyard to recover your expense of pulling it out. Period. Good luck.

    That netting isn't fencing, it's armoring for concrete. Very handy if you're building a concrete floor.
