Back in the day, I had a hatch with a B20Z, with a B18 head. B16 transmission. It would smoke the tires all the way to 60mph (which was the top of 2nd gear, with 8K rev limiter). It would easily climb hills in 5th gear. It was extremely reliable, even after many years, when the timing belt broke while idling at a stop light. New belt, good to go. I wish I still had that car, but at least I have a '90 Si.
I'm throwing a b20 high comp in my 91 si this weekend. With a gsr cable trans. Can't wait to ditch the zc!
Back in my day I had a 92 hatch with a h2b itr lsd trans all bolt ons and tuned was fun gapping v8s at the street races
@@uninvestigated just put a b20 and awd kit on my crx fuckers a demon now, easily spin to 45 50ish on premium, now just gotta get a bigger turbo and a higher grade cam😈

@@uninvestigated hell yeah it's awesome for now just terrified of messing it up 😅 and the AWD is from a old crv same with the engine that's why it's b20, barely fit, but it's mostly welding and fabricating parts to fit on there, most came from the crv or just other wagons drivetrain parts and pieces from eBay and what not, lotta work and a bit of money but man is it fun

I had a b20z2 it was fun bolt ons and tune but I boosted it! Ran great at 10psi for a solid year then sold the motor and turbo set up and shell separately! B20s are good motors
yo you’re in michigan too !! sweet car , i have a b20z ek hatch running a basemap tune rn with a ls trans that in the future i’m hopefully gonna swap to a b16 or gsr , not nearly as quick as yours but i love it lol
You will wake it up nicely with one of those transmissions just be sure to keep the revs down on stock bottom end 🍻

It’s in the works now that the bottom end is appropriate haven’t decided entirely on turbo size to keep my build orientated toward some circuit open track days type driving

@@Joey1k_ not even close. My prelude thats 2640 lbs with a m2s4 trans pro2 cam ported manifold FBo beat a full built pistons,rods,cam e85 FBO em1 b20v.. also beat other stock b20vs by a lot. My f2b eg hatch cams 4.92 final drive. Beat a fully gutted crx. B20v . Pro2 cams,TWM itbs etc etc.. not even close to the same.
It’s all in the tune sleeves will be fine

Weight to Power ratio is a beast.. my 95 EJ1 is at 2290lbs with my fat ass in it. Putting down 215 whp high comp B20V.
