  • What to see at Loch Lomond? Things to see at Loch Lomond? Where to go at Loch Lomond? Glasgow Day Trip. Things to do near Glasgow.
For our trip to Loch Lomond we decided to start at the Falls of Falloch which is at the north of the loch and then drive down stopping off at places which caught our interest along the way.
We picked a beautiful sunny day for our trip and the loch looked magnificent!

The drive to the Falls of Falloch from Glasgow is around 45miles and took just over an hour. The falls are well sign posted and theres a small car park at the entrance.
We arrived just before lunch and it was pretty busy.
    2. Inveruglas

On our way up to see the falls we spoted Inveruglas which is about a 10min drive south from the falls.
From the car park its a short walk up some steps to the Inveruglas Pyramid which is a scenic viewpoint overlooking the loch.
    3. Firkin Point

Next we stopped off at Firkin Point which is another scenic viewpoint. Here there was a lovely picnic area and it was a nice quiet spot to enjoy the loch.

Our last stop was Luss- a really pretty village on the west shore of Loch Lomond.
It was super busy when we visited even mid week. Make sure to park in one of the car parks as there is no street parking in the village.
We saw lots of activities available to do here from kayaking to paddle boarding to jet skiing but for something a little more relaxed you can also see the loch on a boat cruise.
We didn't book in advance but just happened to wander onto the pier as the last boat for the day was boarding... how lucky were we!
The cruise was a 90min round trip down to Balmaha and back and cost £15 per person. We just paid by card on board.

By the time we got back from the cruise which about 4:15pm most of the shops and restaurants close to the pier were closed except this bistr0 which I think is open til around 7ish.
And that was our day trip to Loch Lomond!

You really should have continued past the loch to the “rest and be thankful” ..or past the falls onto glencoe
    It’s all amazing though

Hiya, how long was the walk from the car park to the falls? Was it worth it?

A tiny bit of critisism, please don't take it too seriously, ......it's Loch.....not Lock.......say it as if your'e... err .....sort of clearing your throat, or even pronounce it as Loh Lomond.......Loh sounds better than Lock.
Lovely wee video though and you got great weather too , well done 🙂

Would be great if there was some effort in pronunciation…it’s not Lock Lomond.
