    This is how i have been tying this knot for the last 3 years by far best and easiest way to tie it in the field or on a rocking boat. I stop a 14 weaves and have tremendous confidence in the strength of the knot. One tip i can give you is make your leader tag a little longer and hold both the main leader and the tag leader in your hands loosely while tightening the rizutto. This helps the rizutto tighten parallel with the fg and you don't get that little kink in the end. Awesome vid keep it up.

    The easiest method I've seen for this knot. Thank you. I just use a double uni and have never had an issue with it, so no reason to change now since I can do that even quicker and never lost a fish due to a broken knot.

It appears to me that you are trying to tighten the main knot through the previously tightened Rizutto...

  • @Stakeouttoo
    @Stakeouttoo Před 3 lety +1

    a good one.. nice version of the FG.. I still finish mine with a couple of half-hitches and a double half-hitch rather than complicate it even more with what you did that to me makes it 'bulky' not smooth.. just my personal preference

    • @Deanobravio
      @Deanobravio  Před 3 lety

      Yeh thats fair. What most people do is 6 half hitches over the leader and braid, trim the leader, then 6 half hitches over the braid only, and then finish with a Rizutto finish as I do. Where can we purchase the knot pullers or how do you make them?

      Thank you, these knot pullers are just rod building heatshrink over some 5/8 wooden dowel, betty easy to make 👍
