    This is the link to the kit you will still need to buy a block off plate for the egr/combi valve or make one.

    Awesome video! Very informative, only one question, any materials that need to be bought before doing the project that don't come in the kit? Basically what I've gathered is have coolant on standby and buy some 1/2 inch tubing for the brake booster, anything else I'm missing before I go and start ripping vacuum lines out of my engine? Also, how well does it run without a tune? As of right now my SAI pump is bad so it misfires under heavy load. Would this be an improvement?

The first vacuum valve from the SMOG filter thingy, not the manifold side, the one next to the coolant reservoir ... u dont seem to mention if it needs to be capped off? or left alone with no pipe on it now? secondly ... i yanked the brake assist pipe at the rubber/plastic valve near the bulkhead, instead of cutting it like you said. there was a loud pssssss .... can i just reconnect it as if nothing happened lol!

    • @emotionalintelligence776
      @emotionalintelligence776 Před 4 lety +1

      The smallest tap under your manifold is for your FPR and or Boost gauge, you should definitely have a boost gauge. The tap next to that is for your DV. The bigger tap previously used for your Brake booster is capped off. And the last tap at the end of the manifold you would use to run a new single line for your Brake booster IIRC. All vacuum hoses are either replaced, removed, and when necessary unused ports are capped off. Get a tune that deletes this stuff and you are ready to go.

    • @PincheALsGarage

    • @GMDOnline
      @GMDOnline Před 7 lety +1

      If you get the opportunity to do a PCV simplification video on an AGU as the setup is pretty different. We have vacuum pipes also on the active charcoal filter which is in front of the coolant header tank. Also on the PCV simplification its the perfect chance to install a catch can and I would love to see your way around it. There are no guides online for AGU. I'm assuming I dont have the evap system if I dont have SAI either which then in turn makes this video a bit obsolete for me.

    • @PincheALsGarage
      @PincheALsGarage  Před 7 lety +1

      Grant Mac Dee
      correct the AGU motor is very uncommon so it will be very difficult for me to make one for you since i yet to see one or work on one i a long time. If you dont care for SMOG the car it will be very ez to bypass all the hoses since your just removing them. The only issue i would see if there is a coolant line or a sensor that is needed for the car to run correctly then you'll need to TUNE it out of the car for it to run correctly.

    Are you able to keep the combi valve in and just block off what lines connect to it? ( sorry about spelling)

    PincheALs so I went to see if I can get my ecu done and all. but they would not do it due to the sai delete.. so who would you recommend to do the Sai delete and a stage 1 tune on my ecu.

    Will you be adding a catch can? I had to add a catch can due to initial startup smoke.

    Question, when you delete the whole evap system can you also remove the fuel detection pump and charcoal canister in the back

    hey pincheal quick question at the back of the suction pump there's a hose that connects to the pcv system I believe. what do I do with that line after wards just leave it be ? or do I plug it up. it's towards the engine and heads up into the pcv. has a little bend going Into something else towards the end

      Yansi Cordon what did you do to that hose? I'm about to do this delete but don't know what to do with it

      So I guess some mk4s come with 2 little ports and some have 1. I ended up plugging the pcv system to that hose with a pcv check valve actually goes straight to the manifold. I have to do a pcv catch can soon. If you're still curious I can send pics after work to show you what I did

    what did you use to block the pcv unit?like the one that connects to the air intake?

    • @PincheALsGarage

      we looked for a bolt big enough to cover the hole. the short hose that comes off the intake and pushed a bolt right in and done.
