She was probably the first to ever truly hurt Creeper too as it was usually him doling out the pain. There is a certain irony to Creeper going out so brutally after he did this (or probably something even worse) to so many other people.

I don't rate the movie but I also don't regret watching it, Shia's performance was the only good thing about it as far as I'm concerned. It's a shame as I feel like there was so much more potential for Creeper, maybe we'll see a prequal but I wouldn't hold my breath as the movie wasn't commercially well received.
