    Thank you for this very concise video!
    Here's a summary:
    1. Use tripod, don’t touch once recording
    2. Use Manual exposure, slowest possible shutter speed, also set Manual Focus
    3. Set 16: 9 ratio, and JPEG or JPEG/raw (not raw only)
    4. Set white balance to anything other than Auto
    5. On Recording menu, on 4th page, select Time Lapse
    6. Set Time Interval at least 2X shutter speed
    7. Use Arithmetic for Interval/Image Count
    8. After shooting, can (optionally) choose to create video, selecting settings, including reverse.
    9. Can also create videos by selecting Time Lapse on Playback tab

    Manual Mode for Timelapse is only recommended if light conditions doesn't significantly change in the area of footage. Otherwise Aperture mode is recommended as the aperture can be fixed where as the shutterspeed can vary. Of course this could have an impact of the shutter interval in low light situations but if you fix your aperture and shutterspeed in changing light conditions you will not get a picture series with continuous exposure balance.
    This video helped me a lot to find the best video settings for timelaps. Thanks a lot.

    I have been trying to get some time-lapse on the LX-100, but I am having an issue related to the battery. If I can assume this camera doesn't eat batteries at an alarming rate, I believe my battery is losing power awfully quickly. I can order new batteries of course, and I have also ordered the A/C cord that will maintain the battery directly from a normal 110v outlet.
    HOWEVER, this does not help me with my current issue which is as follows: If my battery dies before the time-lapse shooting is completed, is there a method for building the time-lapse inside the camera once I have a fresh battery installed?

    • @Camerahoarders
      @Camerahoarders Před 6 lety +3

      There is a huge difference in quality, especially if you shoot RAW, edit and create video on PC rather than in camera. Also, recording normal video would take a lot of memory card space and drain battery much faster.
