The mobile version was done by a different gaming company that's why it's so great unlike grove street games.
The dev who made the DE mobile version are also the one who Made LA Noire VR version.

Its great because R* decided to put effort into the mobile version because they had an incentive. The pc/console version was not garbage because of GSG. It was garbage because R* didnt care.
the PC version suffers from bugs and few animation errors while the Netflix version suffers from performance issues and graphical downgrades despite the nostalgia filter.

Modders will definitely bring what mobile did better to the PC version if they haven't already.
Mobile version lacks of some graphics because of the device limitations. Give the developers a break. They fix the bugs that are present to the original version, they may be forgot it or it just not capable for mobiles yet
It should've been only mobile from the very beginning.But now that we are in this situation,hopefully the PC and console versions get this setting update soon

It was always a mobile game,grove Street game actually used mobile port of gta trilogy and ported to pc that's why most of the thing was ducked up,u can find on screen analog stick and on screen controls on pc version if u mess with the settings

They are what remains of Team bondi after they closed down after LA Noire came out

@@charlyg-2590It's because they didn't assign the textures correctly and they put the original code and engine superimposed on unreal, it would have been the same if Rage was used, in fact even worse by not having the assets with already defined materials like the ones they used in the forests, that's why the forest looks quite different from the game in genera, In addition to the fact that unreal is made for ordinary people, there are thousands of CZcams tutorials and help options, on the other hand, rage is specifically made for rockstar experts, The tutorials and help for programmers will be minimal because it is not made for ordinary people and let's be honest, those who made the original remastered port are not experts.

@@aldeanoman1377Your comment only puts fuel in the fire. Why in the hell would "ordinary people" be in charge of making an official remaster of a famous game? Why would the IP holders of rockstar titles made by "rockstar experts" allow those who need CZcams tutorials to create a game? GSG ruined the classic games. They never cared abou the game in the first place. If they did, they could have made a 1000% better remaster even if they were given godot engine.
If they can just take the key improvements in the mobile edition to all the other editions that would be a significant upgrade. Hopefully they update it soon

Even in mobile version gta sa trilogy density look good than in next gen console, in next gen console the city look empty, only few car and pedestarian wandering around so empty... very disappointed in next gen console
Mobile version really brings the 90's vibe back with original PS2 orange atmosphere, 9:44 also at night somehow that vibe brings me like watching old movies, cartoons or animations at night time, compare PC version is 2023 vibe.
The problem is, that's the ONLY original effect in the mobile version and it shows for San Fierro, Desert and Las Venturas too. San Fierro, Desert and Las Venturas have a own unique look which is not in the mobile version
Rain in Netflix version looks like rain in GTA 5
5:14 the problem is probably that phone storage is slower to load than the modern ssd pc. The phone also suffers from other heavy mobile games
That's LOD and draw distance. Agreed that phone storage is no SSD but they are fast as a 7200 rpm hdd.
Especially ufs 3.1 and up.
@@mindrover777 don't forget that texture streaming on pc relies on its dedicated gpu ram so it's always ready to render compared to mobile
This sometimes even happens on the PS5 version, especially when flying around. Hopefully it gets fixed with this new patch coming soon finally.

I think the reason why they made the fog so thick in the mobile version is that so it will not lag too much and they can also make it better
But in the end they Locked the game to 30 fps for no reason :(

We should really be grateful for those fixes. Although it ain't perfect, at least the devs did improve the game. 7GB storage (SA Netflix) really worth it in my opinion.
not to mention nost devices now are packed with 128gb minimum.
What break the camel's back is the battery, 30 minutes playing and you lose 50%. It's crazy.

Mobile version's atmosphere is much pleasent, reminds that old ps2's vibe, damm, that was time........
the game disables shadows from night time to morning in the Netflix version
The lighting in mobile is the same in all 3 cities, most people hated the metallic water effects, and the sandstorm effect in the mobile version was just completely removed.
One of the big reasons why Mobile was able to outperform the PC version was because it maintained features from the original game. The graphics were very good for an "old" mobile game until then.

Everything that's missing in the mobile release was probably cut due to performance reasons
i think the significant upgrade by Netflix version is the Classic filter.

Now a definitive edition version with all the missing bits of detail from both original and both versions of the definitive edition with the higher powered graphics of console and pc would make it the perfect redo of the original trilogy

The definitive from netflix is ran on a small screen device thats out powered but almost all modern devices and consoles, so they had to significantly downgrade the experience and graphics but still made it look wonder on display. I think thats very impressive

So, the DE version for Pc is made by a mobile dev. But the mobile DE version made from a VR team. Hmm, im not surprised that this happen. Considering the track record of grove street games from their own mobile port of GTA.
For a good comparison please turn off "classic on lightning" In the mobile version
Ive been playing for a while and i really hate that vehicles turn into polygons when ur 5 feet away from one and the game struggles to load los santos so you sometimes drive in pixels but driving at the countryside is awesome the trees look amazing when you're driving around and San fierro is a lot better than los santos because the game doesn't struggle loading everything so you don't get to experience driving through a low quality terrain, still haven't gotten to las venturas yet tho
One major complain i have tho is the fps kinda effecting the vehicle speed cuz I'm stuck trying to get gold in the barrel roll level in driving school cuz the car is slightly slower which makes the roll extremely precise

Shadows in mobile are a bit laggy, this the reason why the headlights doesn't reflect shadow in it.
its sad about osme details that were cut to fit phone specs but they could have left it in as a graphics toggle like in genshin for example, so it scales from a lower end/mid rage device up to flagships. like, it runs flawlessly on my iphone 14, im sure it has performance left out projected shadows
My job is in Quality Control dept.
The problems I see in GTA Trilogy is so many glitches and in the vehicles
you see hollow area like in Trucks and Yosemite pick up trucks
The wheels in the back are missing
and the bf injection on the left side of the wheel the suspension area 😎☝️

Even though the mobile version have some issue, it still looks beautiful and am shock that it beats the PC version on some features
only thing I would wish for are night shadows
If only the PC version didnt have bugs nor the cartoonish-style (animations, graphic & physics) it could have been 1000x better , hopefully oneday they fix all these bugs and perhaps they can re-design the textures to make it look more realistic

You can use RoSA for SA Definitive Edition, it will look 10x better.
Although gta mobile has some drawbacks but its impressive to know that it is just released.
I completed ALL Definitive Edition games on PC. And, honestly, it wasn't so bad after all.

you have iphone 15 pro max or samsung s23 ultra? also you downloaded rockstar games version or netflix version?
0:15 - that's not an animation bug. GSG did not include waves (as you noticed yourself in the video).
3:50 - that's not an animation bug. That's character's model/mesh bones being broken. GSG did it.
2:14 - at least they also fixed/changed palm trees models/meshes. They were too wide and in certain places they where glitching through other objects.
4:54 - that's still horrible. It was AI job to increase details (LOD) on far-away objects. It's a left-over as we can see after GSG. They should be re-made, damn you R*
I'm upset about them focusing on the mobile version as the superior one, leaving consoles & PC like garbage, but at the same time, I kinda have some hope that soon they'll bring these improvements to the other platforms. Although, being Rockstar I highly doubt it.
Because the mobile port will bring them more profit unlike the pc version when you can just pirate it

If you turn off classic lights in mobile version for Nights, lighting and Draw distance part everything will be the same as PC version except for vegetation and interiors.
The biggest problem with mobile version is how blurry it is
rockstar should apply the fixes from the mobile as an update to the pc ver so everyone is :)

I hope they update the pc an consoles "definitive edition" to be this. Its a shame phones an tablets get a way better version meanwhile we play on the defective edition. I would really love ped density because it feels weird driving thru LS meanwhile theres 5 cars on the freeway an 10 peds mostly gangs on the pathways.
if you turn off the classic lighting the draw distance will be the same with the PC version

As a pc game i need more things mobile game is kind of neat because it needs to run in a less poweful mobile phone then a pc

After many years the facial mouth was fix in Definitive Edition finally
the worst part is they inverted thee under water controls, i struggled wondering why CJ could not go under water and kept floating up, after i realize under water controls are inverted by default i was able to adapt to it and go under water to beat the mission.
You can "off" classic lighting in Settings, and comparison. Maybe next time

I think the new mobile version is base on the original ps2 version and the grove street game pc and ps4 version is base on the pc version that is ported too mobil and than back too pc and that is the big problem with this version

Gta trilogy will be known for cross play in various platforms in fact Grive Street made two remastered from the original trilogy and ported them in mobile

The reason that Netflix version lack shadows, puddles and ect because mobile and ipad can't handle this performance, and if they're going to update the games on all platforms, there should be a better performance.
I’m sure they can, newer iPhones and iPads are mad powerful, even more than a PS4 in some cases.
Still the game has some really bad graphical issues, like cars not rendering even if you stand next to them or the map bugging all together

But mainly graphical issues, I feel like they made the games very performance oriented at first to see how they would run, im sure they will improve graphics and details once they see modern phones are more than capable of running them

@diegoalejandro8981 Well, it can't be help, especially after some complaints about weather issues like when you're in the desert, there is a purple sky instead of using Los Santos green sky which is a ashame.

It's got way less variation in weather/time of day conditions between all the locations vs PS2 original. Don't be fooled, this port is another lazy job.
