    I was quite young but I remember the music 🎶 from The Carpenters. Karen's voice what introduced me into poetry. It's sad she died so young but I feel if it wasn't for her and Richard I would have not been so close to listening to music at all . I hope to all of us Carpenter fans hold their music close to our ❤💚's and never forget the beauty of a angelic duo and their music will live for a LIFETIME.😇

    Yes, Richard. We enjoy all of your music arrangements.
    I think it would be possible to add another music genre style, to some of your songs.
    This would probably also be appreciated on a Christmas Album. For the songs you've done, already. With new arrangements.
    Or, with more arrangements of the songs you've recorded.
    By expanding what you think Karen could do. In another music genre style.
    Imagining the melody like you've done. To more songs. To maybe a new music genre

  • @MikC-hu6ld
    @MikC-hu6ld Před 2 lety +1

    Yes. One of the best ways is to take a song they've done. And change it to another music style. Sometimes, it can work with some songs they've done.
    Or, if it was with a University choir, and right after Thanksgiving (When Christmas music is heard) -Start out a Christmas choir song list with their songs.
    Then later, in the performance talk about Christmas:
    Christmas will be here soon.
    We'd like to add a song you may have heard before. It was written by Bob Cole.
    The Christmas season has just begun. Then, the choir sings briefly: We've Only Just Begun. (Then, to the song., Merry Christmas, Darling). In the same style, as the original song. . With solos from some of the choir singers. (Written by the late Bob Cole. Of The Bob Cole Conservatory of California State University, Long Beach). Where Richard and Karen sang at.

    • @MikC-hu6ld

      I think there are reel tapes that have Karen on separate vocal tracks. Could do piano and Karen vocal only, that way

  • @JoJo1955
    @JoJo1955 Před 2 lety

    During an interview with a UK radio host, Richard started playing 'Top of the World' because the host wanted to sing to the melody. Then Richard said, 'Oh, that Karen's key' and then lowered the key so both he and the host could sing the lyrics - at least the chorus. So I thought - what a wonderful song Richard could write instrumentally - 'Karen's Key'. Just an idea. The world was blessed with the Carpenters music - and it is TIMELESS.

    I just had a thought:
    Since you sang in Acapella choir, maybe add a few songs, in that style.
    Or with voices (Choir). Including your own voice.
    Like with University of Ling Beach Acapella Choir.
    -They still do recordings.
    Wow! That would bring memories and stories back. And people could see their choir, still today

    • @MikC-hu6ld
      @MikC-hu6ld Před 2 lety

      Yes. I think using an Acapella choir and an orchestra would work really well.
      If you did that for some Christmas songs, that you've done with Karen, that would really stand out. Because, no one has that type of singing. It's mostly solo singing.
      There are not too many Christmas songs with a Choir and orchestra.
      With soloists from the choir, your self. Or, other singers. If you want.
      This would stand out for Christmas music. Which is about five to six weeks of Christmas music, on the radio.
      A few songs like Deck The Halls, We wish You A Merry Christmas..And Jingle Bells.
      They play Christmas music too, on Country music stations. Here, in Southern California

    Regarding other music styles. One on You Tube, The Carpenters- Perry Como Show 1974, shows how the song Close To You can be changed with a slightly different vocal melody. Perry sings that song first, with Karen.
    Then, Karen and Richard sing some of Perry's songs, in their style. Watch, when Karen starts to sing. She probably didn't have to rehearse it much. Then listen to when Karen and Richard sing, together. Amazing!

      Some songs take lyrics from a popular song. And add it to their style.
      Then, they repeat the same three to seven or eight words, throughout a song.
      I notice they sometimes do that, in the Hip-Hop song style.

    Buenas tardes. Sr. Richard en este momento siento mucha tristeza al ver la historia de Ud, y su hermana. Tristeza porque Karen sufrió mucho por su bendito "machismo" de querer que siempre fuera Ud. la estrella principal. Ud. se comportó egoísta tratando de opacar la estrella y gran ser humano como lo fue Karen. Que ella descanse en paz. Y a Ud. se deseo lo mejor del día a día a pesar que la vida nos pasará factura por el comportamiento que hemos tenido en nuestras vidas. Reciba cordial saludo desde Venezuela.-

  • @MikC-hu6ld
    @MikC-hu6ld Před 2 lety

    Yes. People expect what they are used to, from the past. Piano only is good, because people can sing to it. People have done that, for guitar songbooks.
    An experimental edition of piano would just be to keep the songs. But, changing to another music genre or style. This would allow for different music phrasing. Or, changing the musical time signature. If that was possible.
    Anything Richard has or had for Karen to sing to could be done differently. By bringing a song to a university for people to sing. Like, multiple soloists, from the school choir, to sing a song solo. So that imagining or reimagining what Karen could have done is done by a university. Where she sang. Different singers. But, remembering her legacy. Kept going, by new songs Richard has had, for Karen. And he could write some new ones, if he wants

    Both a Christmas Album, maybe next year.
    And/Or more piano arrangements.
    Then, after that a multiple musical instrumental arrangements.
    So, piano arrangements, first.
    Then later, more of an orchestral style music arrangement of some songs. For maybe later, next year. In 2022.
    It could possibly be piano, Christmas piano.
    Then, more orchestral.
    Which you are known for the full orchestral style of interpretations.
    Or, orchestra. And adding a few of those, in another music style. That you haven't recorded, yet

    Perhaps reimagining Karen's musical range,
    What she could possibly do. That she didn't do. With one or two other music styles.
    I know she was amazing too, with Country Music. She can sing them as well or better than any artist. Country style songs: Those Good Old Dreams, Top Of The World ( I believe there might be one more).
    With just piano melody. Or, orchestral style
