  • Handry from @mysecondplant is obsessed with scindapsus, especially variegated ones. He has been experimenting, collecting, propagating, and trading them before they were even a thing. In this episode, I visit his collection and ask him everything there is to know about variegated scindapsus.

I always have curiosity on these videos, they are helpful and showcasing real honest people who are selling plants. I worry about ones I've never heard of, because there are scammers out there, but this shows amazing honest people. So thank you.

I love this. I was just admiring my scindapsis plants today that are loving their lives outside on my front porch. I live in Canada so it’s interesting to see this young guy enjoying his Scindapsis on his balcony in an entirely different country and climate than what I have. Very interesting video! Thank you for showcasing fellow plant lovers on your channel.

This is so cool because this is how I propagate most of my plants. I do the same start set up (semi hydro) because it has the most success rate with my environment. Now I have to get better at transitioning them into bigger containers. I definitely slack on that. Those larger containers with the moss is brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing.

I think handry should collect bucephalandra. They have much freakier mutation, its leaves can become purple, red, blue, white, yellow, pink, marbles, veins varigation. It's the smallest aroid that I like.
but i'm on the scindapsus train now. 😂 looking forward for part2!

Proper lighting and fertilization can still give you big leaves even if it’s trailing. I’ve had mine trailing for over 2 years and the leaves never grew small.

    • @onlyplants

They need a bit of humidity or moisture to start rooting into things. Might have to mist the wood a few times a day to encourage them roots hehe
