The level of play in all of the progressive styles are incredible today. I was a working musician in the 80s and you had to look hard to find a sober dude that could cover Van Halen, Randy Rhodes and George Lynch solos note for note, or a bass player that could cover Chris Squire 6 days a week. That's almost entry level stuff for tons of artists. Where new styles were historic periods - the prog scene is constantly evolving and musicianship is at an all time high. Unfortunately, 3/4 of the world has never heard a note. Great interview!!
Coming from a high level piano background transitioning to guitar now.. I clicked on this video randomly and have heard the name Plini but never heard any of his music. I really love all the different guitarists and pianists. That said, great interview - he seems like a great guy I'll check out some of his stuff
