Thank you, Vineetha!! I know it's a bit harder with 1mm strips until you get the hang of it. I, too, still struggle at times because the coils get loose in my hands now and then but I take a break and go back to it after some time. It's all about practice ;)
I love your creations. What do you mean by 6 to 9 strips. Do you use different size petals in one flower or do you make different size flowers? Thank you
Miriam, I love your anemone flowers and hope one day to be able to make the hydrangeas! However, right now I can't get past rolling the 1 mm paper on the stick. It doesn't stay wound together and keeps wanting to be a spiral!! What am I doing wrong? Yours is one of the best videos on quilling I've seen but I'm finding this so hard. Please advise.
Hi Susan, I'm happy to hear to that you like my work! Thank you very much! 😊 First of all, please know that working with 1 mm paper strips can be a little trickier. I first started with 2 mm and then went to 1.5 and 1 mm. So it's a process. And the anemones are harder to make than other flowers because as you've seen in my video, I let the coil loosen a little before starting to shape it. That's the most difficult part for me because the coil can loosen completely if you're not careful. I can only say that practice and practice really helps ;). And keeping a good grip on the coil between your fingers. Maybe if it helps, you can skip the part where you let the coil loosen, and just shape it when it's a tight coil (if that's easier for you). Also, it's better if the weight of the paper strips is between 80-130 gsm, it's easier to shape and bend the paper strips when they're not so thick.
Hey guys! Be sure to check the description of the video for more info and any questions you might have :)

Beautiful Miriam👏 This video makes me want to work with 1 mm again. Though you made it look so simpler, I know I struggle a lot with 1 mm strips 😀

Thank you, Deb! :) I make petals of different sizes in one flower, that's why I said to use 6-9 paper strips.
