Truly exceptional work. How did you accomplish the first shot and what were the lenses you switched up to stretch the image out strangely? Diversity of shots, patience, vfx visuals you certainly earned our sub
Thank you very much for the kind words! We used two lenses for the piece the Sony GM 12-24, and the Sony GM 24-70. I think some of the distortion you’re talking about was 12mm and some of it was an effect added in post. For the first shot we had someone holding the picture frame and place it on the table, and then we painted out their body in post!

Great short film, loved the cinematography what kind of lighting setup did you use beside the practical lights?
Thank you very much! We used an Aputure 120D, that we shot through the bedroom window, and through the door to simulate the moonlight. Then we used a handful of the Aputure MC RGB lights to do the rest!
@@jburnettfilms Great work did you use any kind of difusion on those lights looks really smooth and pleasing to the eye.
@@DGVFX We used some. The lights come with a rubber diffusion that we used, but mostly we were just bouncing the lights off the walls and off the ceiling.

I’m quite surprised not to say shocked that it flowed nicely the beginning to end without any cliche background sound. It’s really something…. I had no idea that was possible and you did it. Nailed it!
The only thing I’d point out is as to the visual effect… I didn’t feel it however it hasn’t changed my opinion about the production itself. Indeed, that deserves a thumb up

Yeah, so the wife was turned into a watcher (ghost) after she saw the one in the wall. The others are former residents who suffered the same fate. But it’s open to interpretation.
