Absolutely the greatest Fish era Marillion album and in my top ten albums ever.... Nobody tore me up inside like Fish .... When im released from this world and my spirit flies around the universe this music will accompany me
This album really marked the point where Marillion found their own sound. Seriously, is there another album ever made that sounds like this ? They were derided in the beginning of their career for sounding like Genesis but as they developed they made a sound completely their own.
What a first 14 mins of an album. Then Followed by the haunting 'going under'...& the rest of the album aint too bad either. For me marillions best record still. & there has been some great ones from the H era. Probably FEAR best H album followed by seasons end & brave.
Going under wasn’t even part of the original album, it was added later to the cd as a filler. I bought the vinyl in 1987. To me this is the worst Marillion album. It’s their “Phil Collins” album. Even the cover-art is hilarious. Marillion had to find themselves again after this failure.
