I need one of these for my bedroom. The wall clocks I have are useless at night.
I don't have it in my room, so I can't vouch for if it is too bright to affect your sleep -- that would be my only concern. Hopefully the lowest of the three brightness settings can help there.

How long does the battery last till?
Good question, but I don't know. I've had it for a little less than a year and haven't had to change batteries yet. I can't say for certain how much longer they will last.
