What kills me is that people still have the nerve to act like things like this aren’t normal. People who laugh or judge are the ones with the insecurity! You’re beautiful either way! From what I was told it’s normal for women to have over crowding in their mouth. Don’t feel insecure, at least you can do something about your teeth, those people making fun can’t fix themselves from being ugly.
Some years back I came across some articles that argued not to have wisdom teeth removed because they’re associated with other parts of our body and removing them raises the chance of complications later on in life.
I swear me and jehiely are the same lol I’m 25 and I had a baby tooth taken out a month ago. I have a big ol gap since my adult tooth never came down. I also have braces … im super insecure about my smile! But i know it’ll get better with time. So don’t feel bad babygirrrrl, you are so pretty 💖🥹

We’ll, you both are very good looking and the only reason people make fun is because of their own insecurities! I’ve been too many times to the dentist to be nervous. It’s all good, you’ll feel better about yourself when it’s all done and your tooth is set in place. Wisdom teeth most of the time come in crooked and impact other teeth!
I went to school for dentistry. Specialized in orthodontics typically if you have room for your wisdom teeth no need to pull those out. If they hurt yes pull them out. We use the back molars to anchor the braces so we check if there is room or not and consult with the patient

I have braces currently have had them now going on 2 years. I also got my wisdom teeth removed while having braces. I just trust the process that I will have a smile I can be confident with in the end🙌🏼 It will all be worth it💜 Goodluck with your orthodontist appointments and excited to be along to see your journey

mine has to do with a length of a specific bone and it cannot be fixed afaik unfortunately
Yes the dentist does want to remove the wisdom teeth and mine has never hurt me so I still have mine and I'm 23. Going to the dentist isn't my favorite thing but I always feel better after the cleaning. The dentist doesn't really care about the teeth the way they look so no need to be embarrassed believe me they see way worse and they help by fixing your teeth whatever it is you need done. I still have mine and I’m 43 🤣. My dentist said that as long as they don’t hurt, there’s no reason to remove them
That’s right ! I had 2 dentist 1 of them told me it had to be removed, the other one told me to take care of it ! And it’ll all be good ☺️

I only went to the dentist once when I was like 5. Later I started to get insecure of my two crooked front teeth , so last year when I was 22 I went to the dentist to get aligners. I was extremely nervous but everyone was very friendly and it wasn’t so bad. You’ll get used to going to the dentist 💗

Getting a tooth out, and then a couple couple days after getting braces? The pain is going to be so bad for a bit, I hope they prescribed you medication for the pain. I had Invisalign, and all 4 wisdom teeth removed, and girl it hurt so bad.. but you got this! Proud of you for going through with it! 💕

I had a baby tooth since 2020 and I was fresh with this guy and it had fallen out & I actually broke up with the guy because I was so insecure about it 🤣 after a while it hadn’t phased me, but every now and then I’m like fawwwkk🙄🥲 I’m so excited for this new journey for you to fix this and be a brand new bisshhhh🥹♥️ you go girl 💫

Thank you J for being real..I regret too not brushing my teeth 2-3X a day back then. You’re soooo real. I’ve notice her teeth but never made a comment bc she’s still beautiful especially inside and out. I understand the insecurity cuz I have also have a “good side” as well but unfortunately I’m no CZcamsr and still can’t afford it bc it’s considered “cosmetic” so insurance won’t pay for it. I have the exact thing happen to me and the exact same tooth. My baby tooth didn’t fall out so my adult tooth grew behind it. lm 29 years old and 6 months ago I had the baby tooth pulled and started my Invisalign journey and just within these 6 months my tooth has moved up so much and theirs such a big difference I already feel so much better about my smile.
Girl, I just got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled this past Monday, and I was so scared! If I can do it, you can too! You'll feel so glad when it's done and over with.

Jehiely just a heads up be careful letting air into the open hole and don't drink out of a straw for 24 hour's you could get a dry air socket I'm sure they told you but I wanted to let you know just in case girl don't beat yourself up so bad your a beautiful young woman live your life to the fullest don't worry what others think just be yourself! I have a similar problem I have an impacted tooth on the same side and I don’t feel comfortable smiling. If I take pictures I always say “get my good side” I noticed you were missing a tooth with your braces on a short video I came across so I went looking for a video of what you did to fix it. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
My wisdom teeth would make me get headaches for sure ! And once I got them taken out it’s been so much better
I work in the dental field and having wisdom teeth cause more problems than anything. They’re more prone to cavities, keeping them clean and can definitely cause crowding. I got mine remove and that was the best thing I ever did. Getting braces will definitely be worth it. You’re a pretty girl don’t let your fear stop you from achieving your perfect smile. You’ll be fine , it might not be the best and won’t feel comfortable but trust the timing I’m a dental assistant and there’s a lot and we don’t judge y’all’s mouth or anything but watch it’ll be over and you won’t know it! trust the process and be patient! you’ll be having a pretty smile at the end of this (you already do) but you’re fixing your smile more

Ik people say "oh don't worry about what people say, love your teeth" which sure but at the end of the day if it's affecting your confidence and if you're able to get it fixed then go for it! And plus it's just braces so many people get them. You're not alone 💖

I loved having braces!! I actually enjoyed every moment of having them! I had a huge gap in my front teeth and I did have insecurities because of it. I always covered my mouth when I laughed so I got braces and now I have beautiful teeth and a beautiful smile! Keep smiling!!!
My son says the same thing about his braces. He didn’t like them when he first got them on. His teeth weren’t that bad to begin with but I wanted them straight. It’s been a year now and he’s getting them off this next appointment and he’s sad. He told me he would rather wear braces than a retainer.

my consultation was just yesterday. for full set $3,100 for only bottom (which is my problem area) is $2,100... total before insurance.... if you have dental insurance find a place that takes it..
I use to have the same issue jehiely. Same tooth but on my right side. Until I decided to get it removed in my teens. I was alittle upset bc it was something unique about me but it had to be done. Once removed, although my friend up tooth was there I did look toothless and that is wat made me insecure. Then I got my braces and had a beautiful smile. Then stopped wearing my retainers lol thankfully my teeth didn’t move around too much so I still have a good smile.
But all in all, long as you guys change the things u don’t like for yourself that’s what counts bc no matter what, people will always have something negative to say.

But yes, agree we didn’t have the best guidance growing up. Our parents didn’t take us to regular doctor and dental appointments. It’s going to be a process so be patient.
