Yes, something to be said for Parker's proven track record in the Championship. I find the quite negative reception from large parts of the fanbase a bit unfortunate. The manager (or, Head Coach rather) should get the chance at least to prove himself. Actually as for Gudmundsson I had the same thought, he probably tested the market and found nobody biting on a 33yoi striker; so might as well stick with what you got. Also I like the option of getting the shirt w/o any sponsor.

Corberan would have been my choice.
He was certainly one I wouldn’t have minded. But there was no perfect candidate out there.
